Unless it also offer google play money like my prepaid does then idc.

    • It doesn't unfortunately but i think its better than Prepaid Plus. Ilost my freedom plus offer due to impatience still regret it as i cant get it back on my main number.

      • How could you loose it? you remain on it unless you change prepaid plan.

He obviously changed to something which appeared better

          due to impatience

        • I got a new phone which needed a nano sim card lol my freedom plus was a micro sim i called telstra they said if you want to keep the freedom plus offer you have to come in store and we will transfer your offer to the new sim otherwise we can activate it now and you will lose your freedom plus. Guess what i did? ffs.

        • @revnout: That sucks
You can cut Micro sims into nano sim ive done it once before.

@Axelstrife: lets not add salt to old wounds lol. Recently i tried to buy a freedom plus sim but then realised i cant transfer over my old number to it. so decided against it. I cant believe you cant transfer numbers between your sims.

        • @revnout: Lol omg that's so sad and unfortunate… :(

        • @Axelstrife:

Not always. On some old micro SIMs, the contact plate is longer than the nano SIM so it would be impossible to cut it without damaging it.

    • But neither did the last offer of Pre-Paid Plus (since mid-July)

Just because it's may not be the best option for you, there's no need to be rude "idc".

Just looking at the $30 prepaid plan, it does look better: unlimited talk as opposed to $700 credit, and 2.5GB data as opposed to 1.5GB + 1.5GB (Night) data.

However overall I feel Optus is still better with 3GB data and unlimited music streaming.

Just because someone has an opinion no need to call it rude.

Is it not rude? If it's not applicable to you, then just don't post anything. You're adding negative value to this discussion by just saying "idc".

    • theres a prepaid that offers google play money?

  • Interesting.

Hard to say whether it's better or not, but it seems like they realised they were falling behind the game with other prepaid offers of ~$30ish offering ~3GB anytime data.. and unlimited calls.

  • I don't really get this to be honest, I have Telstra pre paid plus and its always allowed me to roll over data which seems to be similar? Except instead of 3gb day 3gb night for $40 its 5gb straight for $40? (which in itself might be worth it)

It just kind of feels like they've reduced the data (but also you can use it anytime) and advertising a feature they've always had?

    • Isn't the difference between the two being PrePaid Plus only lets you roll over data for one month only? Where as this new one lets you roll over and accumulate indefinitely up to 50GB(as long as you recharge before expiry)

      • Really? I was almost sure that I could rollover month to month (pretty sure I've had at least 3 months worth of data) but I'm thinking you may be right and the third months data maybe disappeared without me realising. (Cheers mate!)

        • Freedom Plus rolls over data one month only such that at any given month you can only have the unused prior month plus current month of data. Credit (ie, Google Play) however accumulates each time on Freedom Plus, and that is the real reason not to change if you've found a use for Google Play credit.

  • With the data bank thing, Boost should review their offers.

    • Why would Telstra let boost use their 4g network what i mean is why would i go for Telstra prepaid plans over boost when boost uses Telstra's 4g and offers more value for your money. I feel like i am missing something.

      • Telstra is the premium brand where the helpless, the less price savvy and the status users go.

        Boost is the poverty brand.

        • so you are saying Boost will work fine in regional areas that are supported by telstra.

@revnout: Yes, Boost has the same coverage as Telstra retail, and more than the other Telstra wholesalers. Boost data speeds are capped however.

        • @kipps: if they are capped its at a speed where it doesnt matter never had speed issues and have accidentally murdered my data watching 1080p60 videos more then id like to admit

Rolling over data only realises any value if the user to stays with Telstra prepaid so it's worthless to me.

  • does this plan work with me2u for those extra credit?
