Is This GTX 1060 Laptop Worth Getting?

I have been interested in buying a gaming laptop for a few months now. So far, i have been hesitant because I have a good desktop and my current 3 yr old laptop has been doing fine for uni. However, recently there have been alot more situations where i wanted to play games on the go e.g. lan parties, sleepovers, trips interstate. Considering this, should i get any of the gtx 1060 laptops below?

I didnt include any Australian options because they are hella expensive normally, but if there are any worthy deals could you post them below?

Thanks for your time.

if you lucky futu will have 20% off soon so this will be about same price as the amazon one http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/MSI-GT62VR-15-6-FHD-i7-1TB-128GB-…

other one isnt as cheap as it looks. be ready to be hit with import tax.. and dont expect warranty from a seller with 35 reviews

    • thx so much <3

since the one on ebay is kinda dodgy, i found an equivalent from amazon

already got a 256gb m.2 and the 7700hq is marginally better than 7300hq so dunno if the extra $200 of the helios is worth

    • Both those laptops are bargain bin quality it seems. The critical reviews kind of scare me. Especially the cheaper one since it is close to 1/3 bad reviews. Personally I would try and get the best cpu but yeah mobile cpu's aren't really the best tbh.

Fwiw the Helios is reporting some users with no 2nd HDD caddy bay so if that is important to you maybe pass on the Helios.

Black Friday sales coming up. God speed.

Please don't forget GST + customs duty on anything over $1000.

Try to buy local for these, it's very likely you might need warranty on a laptop

    • Thx for all the tips :)
