Basic Home Telescope/Binoculars Recommendations

Hey all!

OK - not 100% sure if this is the right forum but it's the closest I thought.

I've moved into a place with an amazing view, and I'd like to get a telescope (or set of binoculars) to enjoy it more.

Can anyone recommend a 'good cheapie', what type of shops in Melb would be good (or online) and what tips if any for buying second hand (I'm assuming they're fragile items).

Happy to spend $100-200,new or second hand.

    Or have a look at the Nikon P900 camera + a tripod. Why not capture those great views to enjoy later?

    Binoculars are recommended over those dinky toy telescopes.
    Match with a tripod if necessary.
    I like the camera suggestion though. Spend on a Big fat telephoto lens, save on the body…
