Seeking Feedback for New Car Servicing Business in Sydney

Hi Guys! Has any of you ever feel like you're being charge too much by your mechanic for your car service?

We want to turn this industry upside down by launching a new concept service center that provide honest, clear, transparent and affordable pricing

  1. Prices start from $99 ~ $149 according to engine size and NOT what luxury brand you drive.

  2. Car serviced by certified professional mechanics in less than 30 mins.

  3. Premium Oil & FILTERS + Full car inspection + Free report

We're in the process of locating a site somewhere in Sydney but in the meantime, we want to run a poll to hear to hear your thoughts, comments and suggestion no matter good or bad so that we can fine tune our business model and services.

  • Sounds like a spin on filter change service. It won't be handbook servicing, as some cars I have worked on, it takes more than an hour to get certain parts off for major services.

So, if you are just changing a filter and replacing the oil, sounds about right. You should blend in nicely with the players already in the market that offer the same service at about the same price.

    • I'm also amazed that the OP has not said anything about having the right diagnostic tools.

You need these to set the service interval on many.

I would also go further… make it so we can bring out own oil filters.

  • Hi guys, Thanks very much for your feedback! @pegaxs - Yes, the price include only oil & filter change + 100 points car check report. This service was quoted to us in the hundreds of dollars from the dealership, the big 3 franchises to the smallest indie shop when we did our market survey. Can you please tell us who are the other players who offer those prices so we can do our research deeper. Thanks in advance mate!

@Tony, yes we carry all the diagnostic tools. It is not cost effective to bring your own oil or filter because our prices are so low it beats DIY. Thanks Tony

  • Hey mate, I have warning lights come up on my car and wondering if you can check what code pops up with OBD scanner? I have feeling its the ABS or ABS wheel sensor.

  • Hey buddy, sorry our workshop is not open yet. Depending on what car you have, you should buy a scanner only if you know what the code means or you know how to fix the issue so you save money. Otherwise you may as well take it to a mechanic to get it fix. Good luck!
