  • Anyone know whether these are gopro compatible somehow?

    • +1

Not really, you'd be looking at the Zhiyun Rider M for something that is mountable to GoPro attachments, or the Zhiyun Z1 Evolution for a handheld gimbal. Both come with their pros and cons.

Obviously there are other brands out there as well, such as Feiyu.

Here is a deal I just posted:

I got a go pro plate with mine, something like this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Adapter-Mount-Plate-for-GoPro-4-3…

      • If you want to see the screen get a plate.

If you don't then rotate the gimbal to portrait and it will hold the GoPro. I did it with my action camera and it holds it fine.

      • If you have a session, it's going hard to find a plate. I had a friend who printed one for me.

  • Heads up, doesn't work with an iPhone 7 Plus with a case on

    • +1

Yes it does, no problem with slim cases that I've tested

      • I tried with an Apple leather care, pretty slim. No go

        • In what way does it not work? It definitely fits in the clamp and did you adjust the horizontal knob so it sits balanced before turning the gimbal on?

        • @kacak: wonder is it compatible with 7 plus? 'cause with other gimbal it will conflict with the optic stabiliser inside the 7 plus, so the footage is not smooth

        • @hijack:
It works fine, no issues that I can see. There are various videos on YouTube that you can see.

  • I work on a construction site and have always wanted to mount a 360 degree camera to a car and drive through the job site, however is bumpy as all hell and needing a stabilizer has halted me from this idea. This opens a can of worms for me.

Would this be suitable to mount to a car? I'll look at their catalogue now :)

Im sure you can get a suction mount to a SLR, but its a 3 axis not a 4axis, so it will not help much with bumps. You can mod it to make it 4axis, look it up on youtube

The Smooth-Q has a 1/4-20" screw thread on the handle so you could attach it to a mount but I'd be a bit concerned about the phone flying out of the clamp on a bumpy car ride (even though the springs are pretty stiff).

  • Thinking of getting this to use with my GoPro.
Does it really take 3-7 weeks to deliver?

Also could someone recommend a reasonable external microphone to be used with GoPro Hero 4 silver?

    • Note you'll need an adapter to make your gopro work with this gimbal.

  • works with my S7 edge with a case on it
