Quick question to our tradies or semi-tradies here……
I'm looking at buying a security screen door to install infront of my entry door.
I just want to know what are the hourly rates I should expect to have this installed….quick notes:

depends if it is a security door or a screen door. I;d imagine a screen door would be like installing a standard door and lock. A security door would require a recognised installer for the manufacturer to hold up their warranty.
Just go to the Bunnings, pick a door, ask them to install, pick a date, pay for it. Done :)
I did buy it from Bunnings, they said they don't install, and they can't even recommend anyone

need Drill bits to drill into metal frame, need to assemble the lock, etc hassle…
surely it wouldnt be more than 1 hours work for a tradie who knows what they are doing.
Its not about the amount of time it takes. Its about the additional work or money they could've made for a full days work. Thats why, most tradies charge minimum 4 hours.

ps:- My Price would be $75, don't pay anymore.
As others have said post it on Airtasker. Every tradie will charge you 4 hours minimum at 65-75. Also, why not DIY? Its not difficult and you can learn something new.
