Was looking around for a new phone and found this for anyone who is interested in the OnePlus 5. I don't think I've ever seen it cheaper anywhere.

  • Are these phones good now? I thought I read somewhere at first the screen was mounted the wrong way or something?

    • -1

Yes. They did a job no one would do. Or they bought these discarded panels from Samsung in lesser price. the phone is fast but the jelly effect will make you feel like you are using a defected or damaged product. Though I am still gonna order one soon :P

      • I have the Oneplus 3T. I often have family/friends asking for phone recommendations, so just wanna make sure this is good. Otherwise, might we worth them spending less and just sourcing a 3T, if the 5 does have said issues.

      • +1

got mine for a round 2 weeks now. No jelly effect at all.

        • +1

No effect on mine either. Great phone, very happy.

      • +1

No idea what the fuss is about this jelly effect, haven't noticed anything at all with mine.

    • +1

The jelly effect is not that noticeable. Some people even think that is some kinds of new feature of One plus's H2OS.

Local stock is $599 with 2 years warranty & all Australian bands, would go local when the price difference is low and it has all band coverage

    https://oneplus.net/au/oneplus-5

The ebay listing says it covers many bands, but I'm skceptical **Package List:PZ0076GY-US-64* covers local bands

    • +4

It's not exactly local stock but does have 2 year warranty. All phones have all bands. With the 15% off code it's around $490.

      • +1

Right.. I was trying to add to cart to see if 15% is working and suggest a correction, but you beat me to it.

at a $100 saving , yeah go grey market

  • Pay like $27 more for local stock from OnePlus with 2 year local warranty.

    • +2

With code it's over $100 less. Stock isn't local. Still shipped from overseas.

      • +4

As far as oneplus is concerned, and warranty is concerned, it is local. 2 year warranty.

        • Would you please send me the link for " $27 more for local stock from OnePlus with 2 year local warranty" thanks

        • @optionalpotato101: A bit late to the party…. The price in the title was $479 then op updated. Op5 is $599 from OnePlus site with 2 years warranty and free case.

  • +1

use code PHONE15 to get it even cheaper price

This phone is over hyped. It should be around mid $400 and no more.

    • For Snapdrag 835????

    • I'll sell you mine for $400 in two years

  • i think they jacked up the prices!

  • What's the difference between the phone in this deal and the one they were selling for $485.73 yesterday?

  • Estimated between Wed. 11 Oct. and Tue. 31 Oct.

    lol

  • … Who are Tomtop?

    • Tom on the top….

      • +1

Tom is top and looking for a bottom.

  • Should I sell my G6 for OP5?

  • Better shipping ETA here. It's $25.74 more, but includes expedited shipping. Assuming they aren't bamboozling, it's worth in my opinion.

  • All the stores have suddenly removed midnight black color.

  • Got this during 1+ soft launch. Great phone, fast af, no jelly effect I can see. Don't buy tempered glass for it, I'm yet to find 1 that fits perfectly on eBay. Also since the screen is slightly curve and most tempered glass just have adhesive on top n bottom chins, there will be rainbow-like effect in the middle of the screen. Super annoying

    • How abt the cameras? And battery life?

      • Camera is average, can't compare with flagships like S8, U11 or Pixel, but still useful. The Portrait mode is fun to play with. Battery life is good for me. My day normally starts at 8am, only have to plug it to charge before I go to sleep or in the afternoon if I decide to go out at night. So about 30-40% left at around 6pm.

        • I got a g6. Is this any better than that phone?

        • @twoperspectives: LG G6 everyday usewise perfect phone the only issue i felt in G6 was its selfie camera which was worst then even a letv phone i have bought this phone after careful consideration flagship specs and great cameras if you dont mind camera then stick to G6

        • @awaischb: ok awais bhai.
