Which Tablet/2in1 to Get for Work

Hello friends and enemies,

I'm looking to get a tablet/2 in 1 for travel reasons.

I have a laptop/desktop repalcement which works very well. Recently I have been travelling a bit to attend various meetings and educational sessions would like something more portable.

I'm looking for something with excellent battery life, ideally active pen support. The other thing would be nice is to have a camera as occasionally i attend lectures and it would be nice to photo the slides.

I am thinking a lenovo maybe 720 vs surface pro 4.

ANy other suggestions

Thanks

  • If you need good battery life, don't go for the SP4. The 2017 SP has a much better battery apparently.

    • We deployed the surface pro 4 at work and the battery life is fine.

  • +1

Hp specter x360. Very light (1.3kg), well built, 13.3 inch screen, great as a tablet and functions flawlessly as a laptop with great battery life.

If you want a 2 in 1 with no compromises, this is the one to get. I got mine for $1300 on sale.

  • ask work to buy you one

    • +3

      i did
      and they said

      **** off

      • You'd be better off going to the opposition across the road. They'll be much better for you :)

        • the ALP?

        • @Iegolas: at least one of the unions will "donate" a laptop/tablet to you.

          (too soon?)

  • get the samsung galaxy tab pro s

  • It depends what you want the device to do eg spread, web browsing, emails, drawing (with a pen) etc.

Whether the device is Android, iOS or Windows x - if you have a need for MS Excel, MS Word then you can eliminate Android. It is different if you dont need MS Office then Google docs can be used.

That leaves an iOS or Windows device.

If you have a need to write notes with a "pen" then there are a number of options eg iPad, Samsung Galaxy Tab, SP4

Think about your application first then the answer to your question may come a little easier.

    • Sorry should've mentioned needs windows 10. Definitely need full office

    • Hey I am thinking Ipad pro, as

1, ppl say IOS outputs 200% productivity than wins, true?

2, Are there full ms office on IOS (ipad pro)?

      Thanks!

    • if you have a need for MS Excel, MS Word then you can eliminate Android

If you want excel & word on Android, you can get them (along with that daft office365 rort).

    • That's outdated. The new version has Thunderbolt 3. This doesn't..
