Found this deal, I can vouch for their three wheel scooters, great build quality for the price.

This is my first bargain submitted - let me know if I need to change anything.

How are these 3 wheel scooters better than the $18 ones from Big W? there's no scooter for $5, just a wheel accessory.

The cheap scooter isn't a huge amount better, but the $47 scooter is an absolute bargain.. You can drop the handle down almost as low as the cheapie, my 2 year old copes… but the deck, wheels and steering mechanism are all dramatically better. they load rate it to 50Kg, but it copes OK with my 80Kg.

These "sale" prices seem to be their standard prices now… they've been on sale since my post back in April!

      • fair enough, it all seems like plastic components anyway, so not sure of the durability

        • Our first one for our eldest is 12 months old… metal components have a bit of surface corrosion, handlebar grips are starting to crack, neither points are surprising given the way it's treated, left outside in the sun and rain.. Otherwise in excellent condition.

      • I agree re: the three wheel scooter. Thing is a beast for the price - and it does not look like a cheap scooter at all.

Can you elaborate on 'the cheap scooter isn't a huge amount better'?

Do you mean the $29 one, because I just purchased one of them. How is it not as good quality as their three wheeler? It looks pretty decent on the images, hopefully it isn't too bad. Agreed that the 'sale' seems standard, but I must say that they are pretty good for their price. I have also had pretty decent dealings with this company, fast to ship and fairly straightforward.

The cheaper of the two 3 wheelers isn't a huge amount better than the BigW cheapies.

The 2 wheeler I reckon looks pretty decent, but I haven't seen it in person.

      • Yes, agree, we bought the three wheel Indy ($47). It is better than the $180 Micro scooter that it replaced, according to my daughter who rides it.

        • back in April I made the same point, although I only had a quick look at my niece's micro scooter by way of comparison.

  • Anyone know if the wheel accessories would fit a mini micro?

  • Reid Cycles are terrible company, worst customer service ever. Stole my money and refuse to give it back, the product I got from them was broken out of the box. Others have had similar experiences. AVOID!

    • Agree. I went to their shop and their customer service is terrible. They rarely answer the phone as well. Would never buy from them

  • Anyone have any experience or knowledge of the 2 wheel "cruise" scooter?

Hey chewbot, I just received the two wheel scooter and it's as top quality as the three wheel I purchased.

I've only had it a few days though without heavy use yet, but it's pretty schmick, meaning it looks like a grade A product.

If you put a globber sticker on the thing, i'd believe it without doubt. It's also very light and easy to fold. The fold trap mechanism looks to be well made.
