Best Value for Money Egg Cooker?

As the title says.

Need an appliance for quickly making boiled eggs or poached eggs at work. I have found some Egg cooker at Big W / Kmart etc. Just wondering what is the opinion of the community members on the best value for money one.

This is your friend for work https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/491645/dec…
Wait for it to get down to half price.

    • I am looking for something traditional style cooking, the reviews are not good as well - https://www.productreview.com.au/p/decor-egg-poacher.html

Don't trust the reviews. All you need is boiling water and master the amount of time it takes to poach the eggs in the microwave you use. You'll stuff up the first couple but when you work out the exact time the microwave you're using needs, you'll get them perfect each time. I'd give it a go first. I use it daily and think it is the best thing ever.

  • I make boiled eggs at home in a pan. Leave them in the shell stick them in the fridge and take one or two to work each day. They last for up to 7 days.

    • Yes I can do that, but can't be bothered to take anything from home except wallet.

So you will need to get the egg cooker from somewhere that delivers?

        • The egg cooker will stay on my desk at work.

        • @bargainaus: "Day 27: F%$king eggs. Why the hell did I buy the cooker? Stupid egg cooker just sits on my desk and is used for 5 minutes a day. every day….really starting to hate eggs." - bargainaus probably

        • something like this https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/323438

sunbeam golunch food warmer - idk if it can boil an egg but it fits the desk at work criteria

        • @bargainaus: buy a saucer and fork, put tiny bit of water, place egg on saucer then peiclrce yolk with fork (or else it'll explode) then microwave.

      • How? O.o My handbag hurts my shoulder and is turning into luggage.

  • Did you try the sun?
Can't beat that price and value!

  • I cook eggs in my microwave. 1 min at 300w in a small bowl. Take out stir. Another min in microwave at 300w. And it is done.

  • This machine is commonly used in the egg industry.

I got this one a few months ago: http://www.kmart.com.au/product/egg-cooker/806895
I use it every day to cook eggs for breakfast. Throw some water and whole eggs in there, switch it on and it beeps when your eggs are done. Couldn't be any easy to use.
    Well worth the 15 bucks

    • Finally some useful information, thank you.

How long does it take to cook? Do you think it can be used in workplace?

      • It depends how you like your eggs and how many. I usually do hard boiled eggs and that takes 10-15 minutes.
I'm sure you could use it at work no worries. it doesn't make much mess and is fairly easy to clean.

        • Greta to hear. Would you suggest any other brand or this one is good enough?

        • @bargainaus: I can't comment on other brands as I haven't tried any others. But this one does what its meant to, no complaints.

@Aussie89: bought it, eggs are ready in under 15 minutes.
