Large suitcase - best value (price and quality)?

We've had a number of suitcases over the years but one by one the zippers break or the handle br aks or the wheels. I'm after recommendations for a large sturdy suitcases as we're all out now. I'm not under the illusion that it will last years (given the treatment I've seen over the years, particularly luggage handling) but something that will last at least a while. We don't need small onboard cases as we've got those already. I'm in Canberra if that helps

  • antler or samsonite and buy online, cheaper inc delivery, unless MYER got 40-50% sale.
    Costco does have them too.

  • Do u travel a lot? You can either go expensive and hope it lasts a long time to justify the price. Or go cheap and expect it to not last long so u don't feel bad coz u paid not a lot for it.

As Boomranda pointed some well known brands. Or you can head to local reject shop and just buy cheap one is what I would do.

  • It’s like comparing apples and oranges do you buy cheap junk and throw it away when it breaks or expensive stuff and fret over it when it breaks?
I’ve had a samsonite hard shell that’s been I use daily for 10 years, have had it fixed twice, I see it more as an investment.
I like the look of the samsonite lite locked hard shell range, no zippers, but they are expensive. Or buy cheap bags from the reject shop, really depends on individual needs.

  • If you don't mind the less traditional look, Osprey and Eagle Creek make fantastic wheeled luggage with very resilient fabrics, rollerblade-style wheels and very sturdy zips. Osprey also have a lifetime warranty
