Matching Accessories for Groomsmen

My mates wedding is coming up soon and I'm thinking matching watches might be a nice touch - mainly for photos!

Any suggestions? Nothing too expensive as it's likely just for the day.

We'll get ties and cuff links to match

  • That is a waste of money.

  • great that your buying it, not sur eif it'd work, but wouldn'y you need one for every groomsmen?

out of curiousity are you paying for your own suits? I'll be a groom and am wondering if it is still 50/50 acceptable that a groom may pay for a suit versus where the boys can just buy their own? The wedding is quit ea bit and i figured a suit is for multiple uses so it made sense they buy something they likes and could reuse for professional functions or work, as opposed to me getting a cheap suit to suit budget etc.

    • talk to your boys if that's something you talk to them about.

If you want matching suits. You should be willing to pay. Its your wedding and you should pay for what you want. I think it is ridiculous expecting other people to pay for wedding.

If you want things done one way be willing to pay for it. If your budget is tight live within your means.

  • How far away is the wedding? Aliexpress

you dont even see watches in photos unless you are intentionally posing.. which would look a bit silly. What about something like a small pin on the lapels?

What, you think this looks silly?! https://m.imgur.com/LhLUTYv

      • Leo could wear a banana on his head and out would still look good.. Now I'm not saying op doesn't look good.. Actually, I AM saying op doesn't look like Leo

  • Thought the title said machining and was surprised someone was going to go to the effort to machine matching cufflinks. In all honesty if you want matching watches you can't go past Dora the Explorer wrist watch at Big W. Great value for money, appealing colour scheme and mechanically sound.

  • Tie pins? I like the ones where it looks like a sword is going through the tie. Although you might not see them under a vest or jacket, depending on the style you're going for.

  • I'll agree with supasaiyan, you don't see the watches in photos unless you are intentionally posing them or are in short sleeve shirts.
I got married last year and I had everyone wearing the same tie, tie clip and cuff links, I just had a different set of cuff links that my wife got for me.

  • I got tie clips for mine - each had their initials on it.
Matching lapel pins wouldn't go astray - things like cuff links, matching socks ..etc.. won't be seen unless you're deliberately posing

  • A mate wedding bought chrome tie pins and watches, and cufflinks from AliExpress for his wedding. Sure, the shipping took a while, but he bought them in advance and purchased a couple of spares of each in case there was any damage. They looked great.
