Unlocking an iPhone 7

Hello

My father has locked his phone and doesn't remember passwords to unlock it

Keeps asking for a restricting code which he doesn't remember

So basically the phone is unless

Any idea on how to unlock it

Went to Apple Store but they were unable to help

Icloud lock or passcode lock?

Password lock

He for the life of us doesn't remember his passwords

Hopefully he has a back up and knows his Apple ID password.

Reset it to factory settings.

Surely he would've made it something easy to remember though

Apple are able to unlock it if you can prove ownership of the phone, i know you say you tried them but try again.
