      I run some ghetto blackjack with lower house edge in the car park - let your kiddies know if they are interested. They can also double down on Mum's/Dad's watches and other jewelry.

    • While you have fun:)

  • give them the option to come up with ideas.

    we typically do the following most holidays;
    push bike rides; one of them for us is to drive to outskirts of CBD and ride cycle paths into town, get lunch, drop in and see wife/mother who works there and then go home. whole day event for the price of petrol and lunch.
    visit bmx track, skate park, playgrounds, cost is petrol.
    flip through entertainment book activities section. ice skating, ten pin bowling etc.
    arts & craft at home, maybe a DIY project that you can do together.
    when feeling lazy - movies at home

  • Yep the good entertainment book

  • Thanks to everyone who committed

  • Not exactly cheap, but this year I bought two season passes for Wet n Wild in Sydney. We only live a 20-25 minute drive away. My four year old son absolutely loves it. He is tall for his age, about 112cm so he can almost go on all the rides (120cm and 40kg for a few of the bigger rides).

    Absolutely worth it. I bought the early bird renewal (as I had a season pass from 2014 or something) for $75 for myself. His was more expensive this year at $90 or so. Still worth it. We go most weekends. Cost is the ticket, petrol, locker hire. I'll probably use it a dozen times over the season, which works out to about $35 each trip. Just bring your own food and water (the food there used to be absolutely awful, now it's OK, but expensive). They have sunscreen stations. Go early.

    • Ok thanks I should go to wet n wild and buy a season pass
