Workplace Spying

I just read this article : http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-09-25/recording-reveals-how-…

It is honestly pretty disturbing and the part that really got me thinking was:

"Former Seven human resources staff told 7.30 that what happened to Ms Taeuber was part of a systemic culture at the network.

They said trawling through emails to construct a misleading case was something the former employees regularly did to get rid of staff and something they said they felt enormously guilty about."

Has anyone else experienced or witnessed anything similar? It seems as though more so than ever we need to be extremely careful about anything we do at work, I don't think I even feel comfortable about checking my personal email on work computers anymore.

I don't think I even feel comfortable about checking my personal email on work computers anymore.

don't use company resources for personal email and social media. they can and many of them will monitor the resources.

  • When humans wear masks they can become quite vicious. That's all a company is, a mask

And don't think that girl was innocent. She's a predator posing as a wounded animal

You seem pretty confident of that?
      What's your source?

        What's your source?

I don't know how it's not clear to everyone just from looking at her. That girls a psychopath if I ever saw one. Give her 20 years and she'd be doing the exact stuff she's fighting against.

Oh right. Magic psychopath detection skills.
You should try selling these, could make a fortune.

          @outlander: Yawn.

You can do better than that can't you?

        • @chumlee:

Poor thing. You must be starved for attention.

        • @outlander: double yawn.

          Expected better from a psychopath

    a human resources manager

the article doesn't state this person's name nor where they're located. it would be interesting to know.

  • Heh a guy tried to frame me and told me wouldnt tell boss this time. A day later everyone at my work knew.
Basically made up a event with no witnesses then told everyone this "fireable" offense.

Hes never got touched by my work, despite endlessly trying to get people fired. Always are a few snakes trying to dob and make up rubbish.

  • something the former employees regularly did to get rid of staff and something they said they felt enormously guilty about

These are the people I want to hear more about. What kind of scum does that when they know its wrong?

  • just laugh and tell them to get a life..should be spending money on making money and not worrying about trawling through peoples emails etc. The cost and energy it takes to do this is out of proportion to result that it is trying to achieve.

  • That HR person sounds like a cow and is either incompetent for not knowing that according to the EBA that she was entitled to a support person there, or worse knew but thought she could just get away with it. The passage of time since then shows she was fired and it hasn't been overturned so you would assume there was some truth to the matter, but the way they have gone about it seems especially underhanded.
