Travel Insurance Bali - Volcano

Mount Agung could erupt at any moment now. Anyone looking who hasn't yet bought travel insurance should look at HBF. They cover for anyone from now until the the actual eruption occurs.

Anyone who hasnt taken TI out already is probably stuffed. Most of them won't cover an existing event/crisis.

I purchased a policy with them, they're able to provide cover for the event until it actually happens, which is different from other insurance companies.

      • I'd be wary… their PDS appears to offer them several ways out of that.

Sure. Than you realise that they don't cover an act of God.

      God isn't real.

      • Yes I am.

  • Anyone that has gone to Bali after the seismic activity started and growing, and warnings began, should be exempt from any consular assistance should the worst happen.

Thats silly - Bali is still a safe place to go, even if it erupts. The silly thing to do, would be to go into the exclusion zone.

  • I smell ham

  • No cover any more since today/morning.

As a result of the increased warnings from Indonesia and the increasing likelihood of eruption from Mount Agung, there is no cover for claims arising from volcanic activity for any travel insurance policies purchased after 7:30am (WST) Friday 29 September 2017, as this is no longer an unforeseen event
