Eastlink and Citylink Travel Questions

Hi Ozb,

So I have a question in relation to traveling on the eastlink and citylink tollway.

Is it true that if you have a Citylink account that this will also allow you to travel on the Eastlink without having to purchase additional passes etc?

Generally if money's are due for a trip on the citylink, once topped up, any fees would be deducted from that account from the account immediately.

I received two late toll invoices one from Eastlink and Citylink, of which were paid promptly to avoid additional trouble. Our toll accounts are always topped up when low.

Lastly does anyone know where I can find contact info to forward any complaints to in relation to the two operators?

Just incase I did not need to pay..

Looking for constructive opinions and advice

  • Here you go.

    This should help

One thing guaranteed, is that if you "forget" to pay (or don't receive a reminder to pay .. etc) and substantial time lapses … your $15 fee will turn into a healthy $15000 fee to their coffers!

Therefore it's best to get advice directly from them, by either clicking on the link provided or even calling them directly.

    Cheers

This is true, you can use either on the other.

Each of the companies sites has a contact us section and a phone number to call.

Did you have your tag on? Was that rego setup in your account? If so, you should have called them to advise and the fine would have been recalled.

  • Yes, you can use the same tag for both Citylink and Eastlink.

If you received a late toll invoice, my best guess is that your account either didn't have enough money in it to cover the toll OR you were travelling in a vehicle which was not registered against your CityLink account. I have an account and those are the only 2 times I've received toll invoices in the mail.

Yep and you can use your CityLink Everyday account (so a physical eTag in your car) on any toll road in Australia

  • If your city link account is in the negatives and you travel on east link - it'll issue out a late toll invoice.
Copped one a few days ago - less than $2 toll but the admin fees bumped up the invoice to about $15
