Buying property in Wentworth Point, NSW

Hi all. I am looking to buy one bedroom apartment + small study + car park + storage in Wentworth Point, NSW for myself. The asking price is 600K. The developer is Billbergia (no idea, if they are any good). Would anyone have any thoughts about getting a place over there? Thanks!

Billbergia are a good builder developer. Just be conscious that all the buyers in wentworth point have traditionally been overseas investors.

Wife bought a 2bedder for $585k through Sekisui House a couple of years ago. There's a big oversupply of apartments in that area now, so you're sure to pickup a decent deal.

    • Any decent two bedder seems to be over 700K these days.

prices go up over time… and that was a couple of years ago (and sydney had that boom and great growth)

if so, end of the day - if the area is what you like, then go for it. given it's not your investment, then other factors come into play

        • Of course prices go up over time, my comment was just as a comparison (I should have made it clearer I guess), but also the rental market is getting hit at Wentworth due to the influx of new apartments hitting the market. If you're buying as rental, be prepared as many 2 bedders are renting for $500-520/week in the area (depending on the building)

    • @nafe - good day, I am first home buyer doing my research and found Sekisui which apparently is a Japanese developer and was intrigued.
IF you don't mind me asking, after living in a house built by Sekisui, was the quality good?

Just curious why you don't have a look at Strathfield or slightly more inner west. Yes they won't be brand new but better transport and closer to the cbd.

  • This units are made out of shoe boxes
I wouldn't waste my money there
