There appears to be some discussion across the net as to whether the crystal is sapphire or mineral, with some sites saying yes and others no.

At this price point I would suggest it best to assume mineral, then you won't be disappointed.

Hope this works for someone.

  • "Great price for a tritium, but can't get over the name and the logo on the dial."

Just about says it all. I dont think I've ever seen a cheaper tritium tube watch but the name and the obvious knockoff logo.

    Also quartz.

Also tritium has a 12 year half life so they wont glow after that but hell, its a $100 watch not a $10k Rolex.

You'd have to really be into tritium to want to buy a quartz China watch for this price that's only 30 metres water resistant.
Once you get into this price bracket you are competing with watch making brands like Seiko (Orient) Citizen, Casio & Wenger.

I would rather Invicta on the dial with a Seiko auto movement and 200 metres waterproof for almost the same price

      • Everything WN said. You really would want to own tritium tubes to get this. FYI, just because it is a Swiss Rhonda quartz doesn't necessarily make it great. Like most movements, there are different levels. There is a bit of talk on WatchUSeek about the logo too - not that 98% of people will care. It looks very Omegaish with happy feet.

If you like the style consider a Seiko SNZG13. Great watch, excellent quality.

What a stupid comment. Noone leaves their watch on whilst sleeping. Those that do spend more than $70 on a watch.

        • +1

Which comment are you referring to? Can't see any reference to sleeping with a watch on.

    • Yeah, it's certainly not one for the brand conscious, but a decent Ronda quartz movement with tritium tubes at that price is a pretty good value proposition.

      Reviews seem largely positive.

I must admit that I've never owned a watch that has survived long enough to test the life of the tritium, but most people seem to report the life at somewhere between six and twenty years. Interestingly, the guy who reported only six years was talking about a thousand dollar Marathon!

It's a lot of money for just tritium. For that price you can get an Ecodrive or Seiko.

    Water Resistance Depth: 30M

Just a heads up, using the word "Depth" is a bit misleading as 30 metres water resistant basically means it's splash/rain resistant.
