7-11 Fuel Lock Did Not Work This Morning!

Fuel lock app did give me a lot of grieve this morning, system did not accept fuel lock coupon. Had to wait around 15 minutes but to no avail had to pay increased price. Got late for the work and still could not use the coupon.. this was the worst!
Any other had the same experience this morning.. ?

Update - they refunded the applicable discount. Thx.

    It won't load my balance or lock in a price, system probably down. I'd contact them to try get refund for the difference

      that would only work, if the OP was trying to lock in a 'legal' price, not some remote far away cheaper price.

      • I did lock in local price.
        Their server was down this morning.. had one more person is the shop trying to use the app as well. the manager at store tried to contact headoffice but could not connect.

    I am not sure what is worse.

    The app not working or a grown adult admitting on a online forum that they sacrificed being late for work to save a couple of dollars on petrol.

      But seriously, At that situation you don't know straight away that how much time it's going to take .. at start I was thinking that system is just slow.. and then I was ready to pay full price coz it was taking long tym..

  • Yeah, I had the 'lock in' screen fail to appear and had to pay pump price even though there was $80 credit on the app…worse part was the Store Operator didn't know how to get it back either…. aagh

    Make sure you keep the receipt.

    They will reimburse you for the difference.

    Maybe like sween64 you can get an inconvenience credit as well? My CSR verbally assured me that I would but nothing in writing so far……

      The attendant did not ask for any details. So I have contacted them on Fb and through site. I will call them up if I dont hear anything back till monday.

      • $7.47 was due me but I got $10 back instead. Had to follow up with a phone call after 2 days.

        • I got lucky.. they just asked for receipt on email and for with refund.

    I had the same problem. Emailed them with the info the asked for in the FAQ. They got back to me in 2 business days (felt like forever thanks to long weekend) and credited $20 to my account (rounded UP from $17).

    Not bad.
