To fight the aggression caused by blades, I decided to give a shaver a go. It cost about $300 but I'm not happy with the result. Please share your experiences. Thanks.

I use an electric trimmer for my face, not a shaver, but a trimmer.
I'm not too sure if you're referring to the use on the body as well, but in that case, a razor would be easier.
I use double edged safety razor. It's a real pain in the ass and I think cheap electric razors to just as good a job. But it works out cheap per blade and I'm on a tight budget.
I used Electrical Shavers for years but really struggled to get a perfect shave at time, I still use them occasionally (manly trimmers) when I deliberately don't want to be fully shaved, however I mostly use wet shaving razors these days, I purchased a nice Safety Razor on Amazon and I absolutely love it and then I got two straight razors from these guys (they are an Irish company: https://www.evolutionisland.com/ ) and once a week I go for a straight shave. I don't do it more often just because it takes quite a bit of time (need to set aside at least 20 minutes for preparation, etc) and if I am in a hurry I wouldn't enjoy it.

No but seriously, I use a Braun electric. It's quick, I just run it under a tap when I'm done and waa lah!
Of course its not a completely clean shave but its good enough for me.
