[Price Error] Sony SX55 Portable Speaker Bundle $69.30 @ Harvey Norman + Delivery

Moved to Forum: Original Link

This may be a pricing error or just low stock. No shops around me have any stock. This may have to be moved into the forums. I checked heaps of Sydney stores no dice. If you can buy one it seems like a good deal. That is a big IF! lol
It does let me add to cart so maybe its warehouse stock only?

Its a bundle and includes the SRSX55 and the SRSX2 i will cut and past below.

Key Features
The Sony speaker bundle brings together the SRSX55 speaker and the SRSX2 speaker to give you powerful, balanced audio with exceptional clarity.
Featuring Bluetooth NFC technology for quick, one touch connection, the wireless speakers are easy to pair with your NFC enabled smartphone or tablet.
The SRSX2 speaker features a built-in microphone, letting you take hands-free calls without needing to disconnect your phone. With rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, the Sony SRSX55 offers up to 10 hours of wireless music, while the SRSX2 gives you up to 5 hours of playback via Bluetooth.
Compact, space-saving design, makes the Sony speakers easy to move from room to room or take with you on the road, perfect for parties, picnics, beach trips and more.

I hope who ever got an order in gets one. They would usually cancel by now if there was an issue?
I have issues with posting Harvey Norman deals I try not to shop there. I'm not a fan of Jerry Harvey.

Last year I bought my Panasonic stereo for $280 and retail was $500 so some times I can't resist lol. Cheapest sale price I seen was $400 before they cleared stock.

Just feels like Jerry Harvey is waging a war on us the consumer. Maybe we should have an ozbargain meetup at a HV store. CHeck out the couches and bedding lol.

  • Anyone got cancellations? I only got a confirmation email and nothing else. Paypal charged me though

  • Yeah same, order confirmation email and money taken by PayPal, no cancellation yet.

  • Same here, received a confirmation email at 5:47am. Funds have gone through via PayPal and no other email to say they are cancelling, refunding or other.

  • Was there only one person who was contacted about the cancellation?

    • So far only one person, who happened to have created their account after this deal was posted. Let's hope they're just taking the piss and trying to give us heart attack. lol

      • -1

Could it be the same person who posted on eBay?

        • Who knows? Maybe. Everything is possible around here.

        • With what warped logic did you suggest that false conclusion?

          They're order was cancelled.
Why would they post an item on eBay they knew they could not buy, costing them fees?

      He's HN staff

Cancelled order was for collection in store, unlike most of us. As they explained, after I asked for more details rather than jumping to incorrect conclusions - they ordered to pick up at a store with no stock believing stock wound be shipped to store (it was an available option when ordering).

I know the facts already explained by Pepa in this deal are not as interesting as the above conspiracy theories people made up.

Like many people who aren't members, they still read the deals & click to purchase. This person Pepa joined up to give valid feedback, but they got criticised😠

This Pepa beast needs to get the boot and banned for life.
they're just taking the piss and trying to give us heart attack
      He's HN staff
yeah sure. Nice welcome to a new member trying to be helpful, offering valid feedback😠

And now the avalanche of cancellation emails have arrived… (I missed out)

      Seems Pepa was correct!!

It is a weekend. Expect the cancelations will start on Monday

    • I expect you are right.I good business would deal with this as soon as they realised their screwup. HN dont care about customer service so will deal with it when they could be bothered

      • +1

Yeh but tbf I think it's a bit of a stretch to expect them to sort it all over a bank holiday weekend when it's only a 60 dollar item. If it was a significant order amount then I'd agree but it's not as if people urgently need 60 back in their accounts!

It happened few times this year when I shopped at HN~ 😴
Looks like it's time to say bye to HN and wait for Amazon to arrive~

  • Got that email as well

  • Just got email also. Ordered yesterday morning around 5.45am.
    Just got refund to PayPal.

    • Ordered at 07:12, no refund to PayPal yet.

  • And there it is. Got the same email.

  • -1

Yup, that dreadful email has arrived this afternoon. I had the feeling that it wasn't gonna be honored. Should have listened to my instinct. Now starts the waiting time for the refund. :(

  • +2

Farck!!! Got the cancellation email as well.

    These guys Are frustrating..😡😡😡

    • The first line of the deal post says that it might be a price error or low stock. Surely you decided to throw your hat into the ring with the full knowledge that there's a very strong chance your order would be cancelled?

      • Of course i am aware.
        But that is still frustrating..

        • You were told that the order would probably get cancelled (low stock/price error).
You knew that the order would probably get cancelled.
You decided to try and order it anyway, knowing that it would probably get cancelled.

          It got cancelled.

You really shouldn't be frustrated because you knew that it was probably going to happen. There are far more worthwhile things to get frustrated over. :)

        • @eug:

          Whatever mate!

Now my frustration was being transfered from harvey norman.lol

It's free to get traffic from Ozbargain, smart Gerry

  • Yep refund email from Harvey

  • How would they respond if you ask for an equivalent product instead of a refund? What's the OzBargain consensus?

    • +1

I rang them and tried, they wouldn’t budge. Over the phone they admitted it was a pricing error and the promo was put live by mistake. Quite different from how the email reads.

      • +1

Hmm, that puts things into a murky light…

Under the Australian Consumer Law, businesses must not accept payment for products or services if:

        • they do not intend to supply them

        • they intend to supply materially different products or services

        • they know, or should have known, they would not be able to supply the products or services within the timeframe indicated or if no timeframe was provided, within a reasonable time.

Does that mean they will re-list these as a new "deal" at some point in the future?

It wouldn't hurt them to actually honour the current deal - in fact, it would build up some long-lost good faith.

        • +1

Don’t think so. Not unlikely to be due to human error.

        • Ah well. You win some, you lose some. :)

  • Same just got cancelled

  • Has HN honoured the deal for anyone?

  • refunded

  • +2

Refunded. Did anyone get a successful purchase?

In hindsight the refund is a good thing, this thing was more a want then a need, as with most things ozb lol

  • Received the email for the refund. Oh well, was fun for a while.

  • Damn, just checked my email and yep, received an email from HN telling me that I will be getting a refund!

  • Any good deals on Portable Speakers?

  • neither have i gotten a confirmation notification nor a cancellation email. this is making me super anxious lol

    • Check your HN account (if you have one) for order.
Check payment method used - were you billed?
      If you weren't, no worries.

      • was billed via PayPal. but it's yet to come out from my bank statements ._.

        • Check your PayPal account under Activity.
          That's where it will show.
If it's not there, you weren't charged for order.

You should have received an email from PayPal Receipt for your payment to Harvey Norman Online if it was billed.

Mine is already being processed in PayPal as a refund.

  • Harvey Norman Online has just sent you a refund
    Gee, thanks Gerry😠

    PayPal notification of refund received.
Another great HN deal Gerry kept for himself😭

  • Has anyone had the funds cleared for the refund? I can see the amount was refunded to my account last week (2/10/17) with the description "Cred voucher harvey norman online homebush we aus"; however, my net amount is not reconciling. I.e., still indicates that i've made the $77.25 purchase.

    • Mine's OK. Sitting as credit in my PayPal account for days.
