Best Way to Book International Airline Tickets?

Hi All,

how do you guys book airline tickets?

Travel agents offer good deals, but when it comes to changing dates, these people are a nightmare, they sometimes charge an arm and a leg to change dates. Unfortunately, we have to get dates changed from the agent, we got tickets from.

There are other ways like apps
I WANT THAT FLIGHT
MOMONDO ETC.

or directly from airlines website.

I use Google flights or skyscanner to search for fares then book directly with airline if possible

        what ever is cheapest.

    • I find that finding the dates from Google Flights, then plonking the dates into sites like IWantThatFlight yields cheaper results (if only by a few bucks).

  • Try…
    Google Flyer: https://www.google.com.au/flights/?gl=au

    Monomdo: https://www.momondo.com.au

I always book direct with airlines.

and for travel info advise well none better that AFF

Its worth noting, unless you are booking directly with the Airline, you are booking via an Agent, of some description.
Most airlines will refer you back to your Agent.

I booked an international ticket with Expedia and they only charged the airline change fee. There was no agent fee.

Generally, if the price is the same I will book with the airline. If it is cheaper with an agent, I will book with the agent if there was >50% probability that I will not make any changes.

  • Im not sure why.. But i noticed booking a one way trip from hong kong to bangkok using skyscanner if it changed the origin of booking to hk it was about $20 cheaper i tried thailand England Australia and Brazil all giving the more expensive amount…

If you have time can play with that checking different countries but be warned if you dont book there and then and come back to do it later chances are the prices have gone up alot.. AIR ASIA is terrible for this i had to wait 6 days on a 4 month in advance for the price to go back to where it started even after checking on different computers clear cache ect..

Reminds me of the old hack booking qantas via Brazil to pay no taxes, but this loophole has been fixed😠
