Good and Cheap Web Hosting

Hi,
I run my own hobby websites, and i'm looking into going to a new webhost. Last year I paid an amazing $5 for a year at VentraIP, which have been amazing. Although things don't always last, and that year is almost up, and renewal cost is $75, which I can't spare just for webhosting.

I'm looking at suggestions for good webhosts, but that are cheap. I currently get 1gb storage, which I have managed and can still manage but I'd probably like a little bit more.

Thank you

You could try Zuver, VentuaIP’s economy Web Hosting - $3/month - 10GB Storage Space - 300GB Monthly Data Transfer

    • +1 to zuver. I put small business websites on zuver and have never had any trouble. Cheap and work well.

    • Just transferred to Zuver, cheap and no frills.

However had an issue transferring one of the domains and they double charged me. Still dealing with Billing although I've pointed out to them twice the invoice that was already paid..

  • Hobby websites, how many visitors? Is locally hosted server important?
What about overseas webhosts? They are much cheaper if you need larger storage, ""unlimited"". Hostgator/fatcow/etc?

    • Personal website, example development/testing websites. Locally isn't important, but I'd like a fast host. Unlimited isn't necessary. I deal with 1gb right now, and I manage, although would like a little more.
