How do I get rid of all the crap on the right so I can see the new deals without having to scroll down?

Three things are there now! The massive Grill'd (yuck) promotion, the subscribe (no thanks) to newsletter and the Tips (who cares?).

I come here to see bargains, not to scroll.

Hover over Deals, then click New Deals?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals

    • This. Go to the New Deals page if you want to see the new deals.

The "Massive Grill'd promotion" occupies the announcement block and will feature various things depending on what events we are running. Subscribe to newsletter box will probably be moved elsewhere. Tips are there because people have been asking "how to do … on OzBargain" repeatedly, and we just think these are helpful. We won't make them customisable.

      • Now that the grill'd promo is gone it is better, but perhaps give veteran OZB users the ability to minimise the other two? The OZB Tips and Newsletter boxes should really be minimisable, or even better have the whole right side customisable so I can put the deals at the top!

    Sounds like an ad issue.
Change browser, install an ad blocker if that doesn't work… But remember that the ads pay for the site.

    • I've got ad blocker it doesn't get rid of these in-house promotional banners

      • As others have said, hit the new deals link at the top of page…

  • "Grill'd (yuck)"
I think the word you're looking for is yum.

Especially, love those people who boycott Grill'd because they underpaying their staff.

Yea right, it's not like those other corporations do anything shady.

    • At least they don't try serving you horse meatballs or have HDMI cables for $80.

Or they try to sue two owners for calling their restaurant Hoggies Cafe, when the owners last name is Hoggies.

Or they serve you food from other people's plates like a certain Cafe in Australia.

    • Unless they've changed, I haven't eaten there since 2009.

      • They are really good better than McDonald or hungry Jack's. However, that's not that much of an accomplishment.
