Hey everyone I'm looking to buy a plan with a mobile phone.
▪I want 6-15gb.
▪ Battery on the phone has to be good.
▪ I live in perth suburbs
▪ I'm fine to try any of the providers
▪ I earn close to $400 month but spend half of it lol
▪ I would be using the phone daily for stuff like facebook and most social media sites/apps
▪currently have a 5s
▪ I'm on a shared plan with my parents on telstra
If anything is missing please let me know. I do mean a phone on a plan.

 - Any recommendations on an Xiaomi?

 - How old are you? Are you going to move out soon? Don't know your circumstances or anything but I wouldn't be committing to a plan for the next year or two if I only earned $400/month (unless you meant $400/week, even then probably I wouldn't) - Only 14. Ok I might see what my parents can do for
Me :) - You can't get a phone contract under the age of 18. - You could have it under a parent's name, but then they bare the consequences if you fail to pay (bad credit, overdue fees) so they probably would not want to do this. - You might have to just save up for the phone you want and buy it outright, and go on prepaid. The good news is you're earning very well for a 14-year-old and if you can curb your spending habits you'll have enough saved up pretty quickly! - You will be better off financially doing this, if you actually compare the total cost of a phone plan with the same phone outright and a sim-only plan with the same number of GB of data (luckily nearly all plans and prepaid are unlimited calls/texts so easier to compare). You'll see that you are paying an outrageous amount more for the phone plan than sim-only and buying the phone outright. The 'handset repayments' part is only a fraction of the extra you're paying for having the phone plan. For example, you might see a plan for $60 + $5 handset repayments that actually translates to the same benefits as a $30/month sim-only plan. On a 24-month plan that translates to $840 and you might find you can buy the phone outright for $479. This isn't based on any true combination of plans but it's an example of what might be the case. Once you find a phone you like you can do the comparison yourself and see how much extra you'd be paying. Given you're on OzBargain I assume you want to the best bang for your (hard-earned) buck and not be taken for a ride by the telcos. - Thanks for the advice. I do put clpse to half of my earnings in a separate account and have a spendings account. I also get paid weekly.

Buy an Xiaomi and an Aldi Sim.
