Dental Bali - Share Experiences GOOD/BAD

Fellas,

I just been quoted over $3000 for root canal and crown plus one or two fillings (Darwin).

Anyone have personal experiences in regards to dental work done in Bali. E.g which clinics

911 Bali came back with $820au quote. Fuck it, why not have a holiday out of it.

Thanks

I went to Bali for some "dental work", if you catch my drift, but she turned out to be a ladyboy. Still 10/10 would recommend.

Can't help you with details of Bali dentists but if a trip to Thailand (specifically Bangkok) is on the cards, then the Thantakit International Dental Clinic is highly recommended by my husband and I. He had root canal work, crown and fillings. The only thing that might be a negative is that he required two visits spaced ten days apart, in order to manufacture the permanent crown. We took ourselves off for an island holiday for part of this time, as well as spending a few days in Bangkok. You need to determine if you have the vacation time available and can factor the cost of this into your dental treatment. For us, it was just as economical to have a 12 day holiday for two in Thailand PLUS dental work (including check up and clean for me) including accommodation and flights both international and internal, as it would have been for him to have had the work done here in Australia.

please feel free to contact me if you would like any more info about Thantakit in Bangkok (instead of your Bali question, as originally posted).

  • It'll take a few visits to complete all your work. Could be a long holiday.
Ask your $3000 dentist how long it will take.

  • I don't have any experience, but I have had root canal done on one tooth over a year ago & my Dentist in Sydney has been advising that I need it crowned as it's a chewing tooth.

Apparently once the tooth dies it becomes more brittle. I have been holding off as I want to go to Thailand and get it done. I also need a new ceramic veneer on one front tooth.
Thailand is more known for cheap quality dental work than Bali (Indonesia) from what I have read.

  • Couldn't resist I got flights for $172 Return and 4* accommodation for less than $300 for 8 nights.

Even its just root canal and professional clean and whiten I'll be happy to book a return trip (depending on the visit).

    • Where are you going?

Mate, booked with 911 Bali in Kuta. Nov 13 -22. Hopefully they can fit all of it in. I didn't go to Thailand because of the airfares.

  • How did you go? Would you recommend it?

Mate. Very good service. They couldn't fit all the procedure. Majority my fault because I didn't take in account that its was 10 working days not 10 Days. Location is very easy to find Mall Galleria Top Floor.

You know the place is good when there were 10-15 expats were waiting outside as it opened its doors.

Will be coming back in March to finish of the rest.

  • $172 return… a Perthian… I'd be going to Bali all time too if I lived that close

    • Yea mate, my second home. I got $142 return in March.

Air Asia has cancelled its Darwin - Denpasar leg. So Jetsar has no competition. So prices may increase.
