Samsung Galaxy S8+ not detecting sim card

Hey guys,
I recently bought a S8+ from Good Guys and was wondering if anyone was having any sim card issues. I tried the same sim card on another phone and it worked. I also tried a working sim card and it wasn't able to detect it. I've tried factory resetting it and am currently having no luck. I was just wondering if anyone had anything else they'd recommend trying or if they've had a similar experience.

Edit: took it to the store and they are getting someone from Samsung to come into the store and look at it.

    How about taking it back to good guys? Its under warranty right?

  • Take it back for replacement. Quick.

  • Take it back along with the working phone and sim to show it's the phone having issues. If you kick up enough fuss they should replace it.

    I wouldn't take this. The phone is basically useless and should be replaced on the spot.

    Take it to a Samsung store, if you are in Melbourne there's one in Chadstone, and they can send it off. They'll give you a loan phone while it's being repaired

    • Dam that's awesome. I've already given it to Good Guys. Should I give them a ring tomorrow morning and ask for that?

      • When I gout my s7 repaired by then, I just turned up and they ran some diagnostics on it
