PPSR and NEVDIS check.

Hi,
I did a PPSR check at PPSR.gov.au and got the following result.

PPSR Registration Details There is no security interest or other registration kind registered on the PPSR against the serial number in the search criteria details.
Additional Motor Vehicle Details – NEVDIS
NEVDIS has responded with no vehicle information for this serial number. This is possibly due to an error in the serial number you entered.

I am confused by the NEVDIS result. What further info should I solicit from the (private) seller. I got the VIN number from a rego check and the seller sent me a matching photo of the VIN from the Car.
The car has quite low kilometres for its age which makes me weary.

    PPSR report is clear, perhaps NEVDIS just doesn't have any information on it. Contact NEVDIS for clarification.

    Double check the VIN, you've entered it wrong. There is no 'O' or 'I', only zeros or ones

    Fix those and it will come up with a result

      Thanks. I copied and pasted it so I'm pretty sure it is correct but
      the seller has now paid for a carfacts check, not written off or stolen but possible odometer discrepancy as below.

      Average odometer reading for this category of vehicle at this age is 60,000km to 100,000km

      I am assuming the seller didn't know this as why would they pay $15 to have this report attached to their carsales.com.au advert when it shows this discrepancy. Needless to say I bailed.

          For anyone wondering, it is REVS clear, and the car is advertised with 122,500kms, so there's no discrepancy in the advertised kms :)

    Its seems the seller has put the wrong odometer reading on his carsales ad but had the correct reading on his gumtree listing. I contacted him to let him know. Honest mistake.

      you were looking at Mondeo Zetec 2013, am I right? I've noticed yesterday as well, that something is wrong with odo reading in ad… :)

          I'm looking at mondeos regularly, as have one of those as one of our cars, but funny coincidence that I've noticed it and you posted it :)
