  • This link might be of use to some..10% of all Tiger Airways flights in that booking engine here…

Cant be used for "Discount Sale Fares" which is the percentage off sales, so wait till the next sale and it works great.

    This is so bad

One Company does all the hard work and you go to the other and price match.

Respect tiger airways or whoesover came out first !!

not a valid reason to neg, and price matching is absolutely the right thing to do as not only is Tiger's service pretty horrible (heard many stories of delayed and cancelled flights) but if Jetstar offers a price beat which gives you a better price then why not take advantage of that for a better bargain?

So I'm guessing you haven't sat Tiger's before, and if you haven't, don't be too quick to pass such judgement. I've sat Tigers about 6 times, the girlfriend about 10 times, and I've experienced 0 delayed/cancelled flights, the girlfriend had a delayed flight, but only by 20 minutes.

Recently took Jetstar to experience firsthand what all the rave is all about, and the flight was delayed by an hour and a half. :S

        • I've never flown tiger before, no. However my sister, brother in law and a close friend have all flown Tiger in the last six months or so, had horrible delays and have all vowed never again.

Fact is you'll get delayed flights with even the best carriers no matter how much you pay for a ticket, it's gonna happen every now and again. For me, I've heard a fair amount of bad stuff about Tiger and have never had trouble with Jetstar. So I'd personally rather fly with them.

        • Sat Tiger last month, (same) flight cancelled twice. Had to take extra day off.

Disembarked everyone after we finally got onto the aircraft — they said the aircraft was broken. Nice.

    • niksrulz,

Don't shoot the messenger, he's just suggesting options to get the best price. The main deal is still for tigerairways. Afterall, we are all after the cheapest bargains.

I love how people here are complaining about delayed/cancelled flights on both JetStar and Tiger.
While personally I have never had any problem with either, both are discount airlines so what do you expect?
That is the risk you take when you pay less than a $100 for flight that years ago used to cost 5-10 times that.

P.S. Thank you for this deal as I didn't know JetStar had a price beat policy.

  • What's the policy on JetStar's price beat?? Call them up and ask then book if they give it?

What proximity of time does the flight have to be in??

I've done heaps of OW beats… but never tried JetStar before…

    • It has to be within one hour domestic and between australia and new zealand and same day for all other international flights. Of course has to leave and depart from same airport (so can't match tullamarine with avalon flights). check out this for more info http://www.jetstar.com/au/en/travel-info/travel-services/pri…

For the record they are very easy to deal with in terms of price matching, all I had to do was call up and explain, was on hold for about 2 or 3 minutes then booked right away, great service
