    $10 to Melbourne and you guys are based in VIC. I'm sure it's a great deal but the shipping is 1/3 of the cost of the pack after the discount.

          Which is very cheap for a campaign with the potential exposure that this post will have…..
          Presumably you have an advertising budget?

          andy your maths is correct. We are not a big business, there are only 2 of us putting in out own savings in this venture and unlikely to make a profit for over 12 months (like most small businesses) any loss is considerable. As for advertising budget… I wish!

    I bought a sampler figuring anythings got to be better than buying Crownies. $12.50 for a case of beer is not too bad. Catch Of the Day charges $10 for a case of wine by Australia Post. Hope your courier can leave on door step and save me having to chase after courier companies.

    This is actually good value for boutique beers delivered. For perspective, in the Hunter Valley I have paid $25 for three beers. I think you need to be a bit of a beer snob to appreciate the sort of product offered by the Beer Boys.

      I agree…. this is probably not the best place to advertise such a special……..there are many on ozbargain who consider 'real, imported' heineken kegs and Stella to be the ultimate in sophistication, both of which taste like they have already been through a horse….

    I think it is a good deal.
    When I used to spend way too much money on Belgian beers from Cloudwine Cellars (Slowbeer), they were always the cheapest around. And checking the prices on these beers, they are over $40. So it is good.

    Just bought a pack.
    I must admit as a long time user of Ozbargain I am a bit dissapointed by some of the negative comments.
    At least give beerboys a chance. Knocking $20 off is a good opener in anyones language. $40 delivered to your door for a 12 pack of boutique beers makes for a good easy christmas present.

    One mans bargain isn't always anothers but hopefully you don't go around hanging it on every company just because you don't think it's a bargain, just ignore it and go and annoy someone who deserves it.

    I think it's a bargain, all things considered !

      We are only dealing with facts. The facts are:-
      - the pack is 40% ($20) off
      - we had to heavily subsidize the deal
      - we offer the cheapest price for this type of product anywhere
      - if you price each one of the beers you would be paying in excess of $50 + inflated shipping
      - Our shipping rates are some of the most competitive out there
      - If it was such a bad deal it wouldnt have sold out in a few hours
      - Australian microbreweries face a 25% government excise tax on their products. They cant compete with the multi nationals and cheap imports, so they concentrate on quality not quantity.

      Its disappointing when people who dont even drink beer claim its a rip off when that is simply not true. If you dont like beer then this isnt your deal!
      How about getting into the spirit of ozbargain and support the aussie microbrew industry and try some of the great beers being produced by your local independent breweries
