Anyone know if each tier is a single code or separate keys? I got all the Borderlands games already on PC.

    • +5

Each game is supplied as a separate key.
Also, Borderlands 1 is a single key (includes dlc) while the DLC for Borderlands 2 is provided as separate keys.

      • +1

        Cheers! Thanks for that.

        • Seperate keys AND DRM-(free) versions of some games ;)

        • @stormii:

Did you mean DRM-free? If so, what games?

        • -5

@Lysander: Yes I do mean DRM-free, at least half the games in every full bundle come with DRM-free versions, and if you are a member of humble monthly, you get access to a Trove of DRM-free games to download anytime. I rebuild old computers and setup low income people with cheap rigs, so I whack these babies on so they can have a nice "out of the box" experience with thier new-old PC. The DRM-free titles are usually indies, as that was the initial point of humble, to gain exposure for indie devs while supporting charity.

        • +3

          @stormii:
Note DRM free is not equal to 'give it away free".
Pirating DRM free software isn't really in the spirit of the offer.
The motivation of Humble Bundle and GOG to offer DRM free was that DRM sucks for a lot of reasons, and that if they treated customers as mature adults they would pay for their software, making DRM unnecessary. Pirating these titles makes the argument for DRM stronger.

If you subscribe to Humble monthly or join GOG they give you some games for no charge as part of the benefits of that service, they don't give them away to non-users.

        • @stormii:

OK. Not doing Humble monthly so no DRM-free for me in this bundle which is fine as I have more games in DRM-free than I can probably ever play.
Thank you for clarifying - for a moment I thought I was going blind as I had not seen the DRM-free logo in this bundle.;-)

@mskeggs: In the spirit of exposure, I am getting new gamers into indie games and humble bundles. I see your point, but as I said, these people had no idea about indie games at all before, and getting a taste off whats out there gets them buying.

  • So $4.55US to include blands 2

  • Finally! Been waiting BL to come back.

  • Don't think I have any of the Borderlands games on my PC. Nice!

  • +4

For $10 USD you'll get hundreds of hours worth of entertainment.

I'm just about to make a new character myself. I love it when there is an influx of fresh blood online. Butt Stallion …away!

Ive got Borderlands 1 & 2 with heaps of DLC. Want Pre-Sequel, whats the usual going price - I'm guessing $10 is going to be a bargain.

Update: $69.95 in the Humble Store & Steam (what a joke)
    $24.95 from EB
    $33.99 from Green Man Gaming
$10.79 from Bundle Stars (not bad)
$11.88 from CD-Keys (Thats Australian dollars) (also not bad)

CD Keys is cheaper but obviously you dont get anything else with it.

    • Good stuff checking it all out, I figured $10 would be close to if not the all-time best deal and probably even cheaper than BLPS alone :> noice

    • The presequel was a bit of a dissapointment after BL2, but playing BL2 again after recently playing the Presequel, I miss the moon jump, I feel like my character just ate a big meal and broke both his ankles.

ALIEN: ISOLATION™ THE COLLECTION is $7.99 in the Humble Store.

Might be a bit off-topic but what I love most about the games in the bundle is that some people treated Van Helsing Final Cut as this super valuable game and would not trade it even for 3 other decent games because of the tier it was previously allocated to rather than looking at factors other than tiers.
Now of course, with the game being in the $1 tier, the game has essentially become worthless for trading as everybody who wanted to trade for it will get it and other people will get it for trading so that there is now a lot more supply than demand.
I find this most satisfying. :-)
That is why I always say that it is a lot better to trade games so people can play it than hanging on to it and letting them gather dust in the mistaken belief that the allocation to tiers means anything, especially since different sites allocate games to different tiers and sometimes even the same site allocates a game to different tiers in different bundles.
Everybody have a great weekend with this absolutely great bundle.

I honestly don't understand the fuss about Borderlands. Absolutely hate it. Game runs like shit and the cartoony feeling makes me feel like I'm playing some shitty anime game. Eww

    • The game does not run like crap, it is surprisingly resource intensive, try it with a better GPU and some more RAM, or at least update with Nvidia GeForce for optimal settings. I use BL2 as a benchtest before i claim any rig i build to be mid-range gaming. 16gB RAM and a 1060 OC will have it running like a charm.

      • -5

1070 and 32 GB of RAM. Game engine and the game itself are both crap.

        • Your rig has issues, what's its Firestrike score?

    • lol. Complaining that a deliberately-designed comic-look game feels cartoony.

Borderlands came out in 2009, so if you're having trouble running it, I'd have to wonder if there's an issue with your rig. Meh… it happens.

Even my brother's circa-2010 PC with low-end GPU runs 2014's Borderlands Pre-Sequel nicely.

As for aesthetics, yeah, it's not everyone's cup of tea. (What is?) But those that don't like it are definitely in the minority. The three games achieve 80-90%+ gamer approval across the board.

For anyone new to the games and unsure, I'd suggest starting with Borderlands 2. By today's standards, it starts off a little slow and linear, and some people find Claptrap annoying, but after you get past the first section or so, it all picks up nicely.

    • Did you prefer Rage?

      • Never played it.

  • Keep in mind the average playtime given might not necessarily be correct.
For example, howlongtobeat gives 21.5 hours for Van Helsing Final Cut, not 11.5 hours.

    • I can spend hours looking for that last cult of the vault symbol in an area. I don't google locations.

  • Wurm Unlimited looks interesting

  • Better off waiting for Borderlands 2 GOTY deal or is this DLC enough?

    • For me personally it is enough but this is very subjective. If you are a completionist and want to squeeze every last drop out of your games, then wait for a BL2 GOTY deal. Otherwise, get this one. There are already plenty of hours to play and the game is a complete game. It is not like you need the DLC to have a complete game.

  • Got the BTA tier as I wanted Endless Legend, to add to my every growing stockpile of games I'd like to play but have no time for… :/
