Anyone Here Had Any Luck Contacting eBay about Expired eBay Vouchers (That Should't Be Expired Yet) ?

Has this happened to anyone else and did you get any positive or negative responses when emailing eBay? Did they unexpire the expired voucher? Give you another voucher? Or flip you off like they did this fellow: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2398745

My voucher is supposed to end 23:59 tonight but it expired 1 or 2 hours before that time.
It is currently 23:22PM here and if you google "AEST time" they think it is 22:22PM. Regardless, it is not 23:59 yet.

Voucher Terms and Conditions:

The voucher expires on the end date specified in the voucher section of your My eBay account. Any voucher which is not redeemed by 23:59 (AEST) on such end date will cease to be valid.

Also, I can't buy the item I want without paying for it like I used to.

  • I had a $10 voucher in my account which mysteriously disappeared a couple of months before expiry. Ebay refused to acknowledge it ever existed. They also deleted all the messages relating to the voucher from my eBay messages. They suggested I should just use the current (at the time) 5% off voucher instead. After a few messages back and forward I gave up. Not worth it for $10.

  • That's because the vouchers are from eBay.com and they did not consider the daylight saving thing. And it's too hard to rectify.

  • PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

If you receive a targeted voucher, NEVER leave it to the last day because you risk having the voucher expire early due to 3 technical issues:

    1) Daylight Savings Time: this will affect the ending time of the voucher.
    2) Time Standards: if the voucher ends at 23:59, does that mean midnight in Australia? or USA?

    3) And the most important one that nobody knows about which affected me: some targeted vouchers end at the same time it had been issued. For example, if you receive a voucher at 3:52PM and it has an expiry date of 16/10/17, that means the voucher might end at 3:52PM! The terms and conditions will say it will end at midnight on that date - THIS IS BULLSHIT!

Stay on the safe side and use the voucher the day before it expires!

Also save written communication with eBay customer reps and take photos of your inbox and voucher terms and conditions. eBay says they want all communication in eBay's inbox but some of eBay's vouchers appear in YOUR inbox but not eBay's inbox! Also, when the voucher expires, the link to the Terms and Conditions disappears (reminder: your vouchers are in your "eBay Summary" page). Also, your vouchers will disappear a few days after they expire. There is no "Voucher History" so you can't take any photos as proof after.

eBay plays dirty and/or are simply incompetent and/or their Indian customer reps don't know what's going on half the time and even if they did, their unnatural English replies to you means you don't truly know if they get what you're saying. While I'm on the topic of customer reps, whether you get a satisfactory solution to your problem will depend on the eBay person replying. I sent literally the same email twice. The eBay person who replied to my first message was basically "sorry, can't help ya" while the eBay person who replied to my second could help.
