How to Make My New Balance Sneakers Less Bright?

Hi guys,

I've bought these sneakers online and they turn out to be really bright pink orange-ish colour. The problem is I wear them on the way to and from work, so they are a bit shocking when paired with work clothes :/

Is there any way to make them less bright? Would washing fade them a bit?

Here's the image:

Thanks!

Initial wash maybe but those bands are usally colour fast.
Your could try scuffing them with some really high grit sandpaper or just let use take its course and fade it naturally… if your impatient run through some mud :)

Maybe a super light bleach mixture wiped on then washed….

    Embrace the fluro.

Change from work clothes to fluro athletic gear and colour coordinate. Sneakers will look less bright.

    I did this:

Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Displays, then click Color.
    Click Calibrate.
Display Calibrator Assistant walks you through calibrating your display, then creates a calibrated color profile.

Dial'd it right back to B&W…

IMO they look fine. Ive seen far worse in terms of fluro/brightness on shoes. As long as they are comfortable, there is no problem in my opinion.

They don't look very bright to me…anyway…Washing wouldn't do much. YOu can dye them maybe…all black…

Put one foot over the other one & give a big scuffing. Next, reverse the procedure for the other shoe.
Walk in garden soil & mud.
Finish with treading in dog poo - might not change the colour - but other people will stay so far away from you that the colour of your shoes will be the last thing on their minds! 😂

Spray paint them an alternative colour. You can even mask it up with tape and use different colours to completely transform it. Then give it a good load of clear coat after. Remove the laces and mask the foot hole before you do it, of course. All the different spray cans are available from discount stores for around $2.50 each.

  • Just sweat into them for about 14 months, def works.
