2 New Phones on a Shared Plan?

Both my wife and my phones are getting on (coming upto 3 years) and we are both on month to month plans.

Wondering is it possible to get two phones on a shared plan (with say 8-10GB data to share between both of us). Ideally I dont want to be paying more than $100/month (phones + plan). Is this possible?

Ideally would love to get a S8, but happy with S7 if a good deal can be found (same goes for apple - iphone 8 ideal, iphone 7 ok)

Thanks

  • optus data share

    • They would like to data voice and data on both Sims which the data Sim can not do voice unless you go through a VoIP type setup I assume.

My Optus data Sim can text/MMS and obviously use data.

  • +1

    $100/month (phones + plan

$50/m per person for a s8 or ip7 won't be easy. You may have to look at an ip6 which has more than enough tech for a non-geek user.

  • Kogan does interest free phones and has cheap 12 month plans
You could buy it outright on interest free then shop around for suitable cheap sim only plan

  • Telstra HAD a $35 shared mobile SIM plan thats now gone I believe. BUT 2 plans on the same account will share data as will a data only SIM/plan.
Checkout telstra.com.au/mobile-phones/plans-and-rates and look for about a $10 CR per plan discount and a bonus 5gb on EACH SIM…

If you want phones then your in for more expenses…

  • Virgin mobile have the S7 in your price range but if you want an iPhone you'd have to settle for an older model. From what I can see they don't do data sharing as such but have a data gifting feature where you can send extra data to someone else.
