  Can you explain what 'leather coated TPU' is? Why not just use the leather by itself?

    I would imagine the TPU (hardplastic / soft silicone hybrid) is what gives the case it's shock absorbing properties and the PU leather is for looks.

    Its a hard plastic case that the phone clips into and the back of it has a PU leather surface with magnets installed underneath the leather. Thats how it attaches to the rest of the wallet case.   I have one of these cases. I was genuinely impressed with how well made they are. Annoyed that they don't make a Pixel XL version, so I purchased one of them, and then did a DIY job to modify it. I disassembled the hard plastic phone mount and installed the magnetic back onto another basic silicone case. Works perfectly. Its extremely versatile now, I can use it as a full wallet case, or I can pull the phone off and use it separately. Would definitely buy again.
