Cool White LED Strip from eBay Too Blue

My one is with 5050 chip, meant to be cool day light but turn out to be too blue, so irritate to eyes. Ended up not installed it under my kitchen cabinets.

What is your experience? Was you able to get a more natural white LED strip (White, not warm white)? What LED chip?

Only ever get warm whites because of stuff like this, don't mind cool white but absolutely hate it with any blueish tinge

  • hmmm i have the 5050 RGB and the white is actually really nice.

"5050" is the size of the LED chip, 5.0mm x 5.0mm. It doesn't denote colour. "cool" is going to be bluer, "warm" will be yellower.

  • Depends what you're after but I have the yeelight LED strip and it's been great. Paid about $40 however seen them come up for around the 25 mark lately.

  • How long do you need? if its 2m or less I would go the Yeelight LED strip, you can choose the exact colour temperature you like then.

  • What about some kind of colour filter? You could DIY some yourself using some coloured plastic?

  • I need minimum 2x1m for each side of the range hood. Got AL channels and plastic cover already. Bought 5m roll of the 5050 smd.
We need cool day light as the whole house got SAL LED downlights (SAL S9041DLWH 6500K). Our eyes are very bad with warm white.

Now considering the very low profile downlight like below.
