Ozito Power X Grass Trimmer 18v $79

Hi All,
Need your reviews If some one has tried OZito power x grass trimmer from bunnings.

https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-power-x-change-18v-grass-t…

I don’t have a big yard. But the best thing that this grass trimmer attracted is blade instead of line and the price, I have 4.0 battery already.
I tried to look for reviews over the internet but not much available.

Please provide your views if someone has used it.

  • I have this and use it whenever I mow and edge the lawn. The only complaint I can make is that the blades wear out quickly and normally i have to use 1 or 2 each time. Otherwise its pretty good.

    • Thanks mate. 1-2 bladed everytime, bit too much. But does it have enough power? I bought one homelite 250 w electric 1. The motor fumed in just 30 minutes.
BTW are the blades made of plactic? Or metal?

      • They are made of plastic. As to the motor is pretty powerful (at least for my yard) and best of all if it dies, the trimmer has a 5 year replacement warranty. Just make sure you keep your receipt. :D

  • I am in the same boat. There are a few videos on Youtube for the Einhell branded unit (same thing). Use English subtitles as it's in German.

  • No price in title !

Surely a normal line trimmer would be better. Buying this one you are locked in to using their 'blades'. A least with line, you can use any old brand of line.

My 18v Ryobi line trimmer with a 4ah battery is good enough to do around 250m of edging.

  • Whilst the machine is powerful enough for small spaces,
I agree that the blades wear out fairly quickly. It would not surprise me to have to use one blade per use. A 20 pack of blades is about $10 which would last 5 months if you were using one blade per week so it isn’t a huge expense. The 50 packs of blades are very hard to get. They go out of stock as soon as they come in.

If you recognise the Ozito’s limits you won’t have any issues. I can count the returned machines on one hand over the past three years at our store. Keep your receipt for peace of mind.

    • Thanks for your valueable review

    would these blades fit?

$5.49 for 50 i dont have the trimmer also the kogan blades look the same they are $9 for 20 with free delivery

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/50x-Plastic-Replacement-Blades-L…

    • That’s wonderful price. I am not sure if they will fit or not. Looks exactly the same though. Has anyone tried these blades on OZito grass trimmer?

    • I have just received these blades. They are slightly shorter and the hole in the centre seems slightly smaller so they are a bit harder to get on.

  • also is $79 normal price or a promo?

    • ITs normal price.

For the ones who couldn't be bothered to watch the video I posted above, the guy says he was surprised the blade lasted long and a commenter says the Bosch art 26 blades fit this unit which are cheaper and can be bought off China like the eBay link provided above. Of course, this is all based on YouTube translation as I don't speak German.

I picked up the pack from Bunnings last week of the Ozito Blower and Grasstrimmer
    https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-power-x-change-18v-cordles…

come with blower/ trimmer, fast charger and 3 AH battery

Already have a Petrol line trimmer but after something for small hard to reach areas and it seemed to work quite well
Tried it on the weekend and when edging against concrete blocks the blade was wearing quite fast, but tried it again yesterday just on grass with a new blade and weed area and no real wear.

  • I was considering this or the Ryobi One+ and went with the Ryobi mostly because it uses line instead of blades. I was after a trimmer+blower pack which both brands had, the Ryobi being $50 more I think.
Both go well; havent had them run out of juice yet. Included battery was 4 AH I think

  • got one today looking on the base where the blade goes i reckon you could drill out the 3 little holes where the dots are and wrap cable ties in them for blades.

Thank you to everyone who posted. I got the blower/trimmer combo yesterday and it works well for me as a small lady of mature years. I have had a Ryobi line trimmer (36V) for several years but it was very heavy for me to use and I had problems bumping the line feed effectively. As a result I spent more time trying to sort the feed than actually slashing the weeds.
This trimmer is very light to use and the battery lasts at least as long as my stamina. Ordered the blades from ebay so this is a very cost effective solution to managing our large block.

  • Beware of quality issues.

I bought one of these and the blade-retaining pin broke on the first use after two minutes. So I took it back and got another one. The second one’s debris shield wouldn’t lock in place. So I took it back and got a refund.
