Buying from the US Apple store

So I want to replace my stolen Macbook and since the dollar is so good now I was thinking of getting from the US online store. They say they don't do international shipping so just wondering if anyone knows a good company that ship things on your behalf.. Ship forwarders?

Or if anyone has personally bought from the US store, how did you go about it.

Thanks.

  • There's priceusa.com.au

You obviously won't get an Australian warranty.

    • I think AppleCare is an International warranty (or can be made so).
But personally, I think extended warranties are a scam!

      • Thanks for clearing that up

  • shipto are one of the forwarders, I've never used any of them though…
Somewhere else in these forums is another, recent, "buying from the US" thread.

  • +1

    Apple notebook warranties are international.
Check your prices carefully. On items over A$1,000 you almost certainly will be charged GST on arrival. This combined with shipping + other charges will make the item very close to the shipped price from the Apple Australia online store.
