ANY RIDE, ANY RIDER
The Synthe™ is the pinnacle of road helmet design. It offers impressive cooling power, minimal weight, supreme fit and streamlined aerodynamic efficiency. It is a true synthesis of all features a modern rider wants in a high performance road racing helmet.

The difference is clear in the wind tunnel—Giro’s extensive testing reveals that the Synthe is nearly as efficient as the fastest time trial helmets. But the Synthe’s greatest attributes are comfort and ventilation. At it’s heart you’ll find our Roc Loc Air fit system. Micro adjustments allow you to custom tune tension and fore-aft tilt with one hand and a patented design suspends the helmet over the top of the skull, allowing airflow to pass freely over your head. Cooling power is further boosted by elaborate internal channeling and a series of massive vents; the Synthe sets a new bar for ventilation.

You no longer need to choose between aerodynamics and cooling power—with Synthe you get everything, all wrapped up in a compact and sleek silhouette, and with the added MIPS system yopu know that your covered in any fall.

Features:

Featherweight Webbing with Slimline™ Buckle
Roll Cage internal reinforcement
In-Mold polycarbonate shell with EPS liner
Thermoformed SL reinforcement
Roc Loc Air fit system
MIPS equipped

Specifications:

Weight: 254g
Vents: 26 Wind Tunnel vents with Internal channeling
Complies with AU Standard: AS/NZS 2063:2008

  • Thinking of buying the cinder but I’m borderline on sizes at 58cm. How do they fit? Would you recommend sizing up?

    • +1

Mine fits perfect (large) I know a comparable large in some other brands did not fit me. I used the tape sizing method , 58cm makes you a medium, if your doubtful, can always find a shop selling Giro and try one on if you don't feel guilty

      • Thanks.. I went ahead and ordered the medium. Would feel a bit guilty trying on in a bricks and mortar only to buy online so will just deal with the returns process if I need the large.

        • How was the sizing if you recieved it? Im a 58-59cm so would be curious if you have it on the max width setting and how tight it is

        • @8azinga: the postie delivered it yesterday.. 15 mins after I left for the airport! Will have to wait another week to try it on unfortunately but will report back in case you’re still undecided.

        • @satcher: Thanks. I'd be interested to know as I ordered a large Cinder as i have always used a large but returned it as it just looks huge on your head. If i could fit a medium which might possible from the sizing chart, then the helmet probably wouldn't look so big either.

        • @8azinga: just arrived back and tried it on and it fits well with a bit more room to expand. I’m also 58.5cm. I’m glad I didn’t go with the large as even the medium looks big.

        • @satcher: Thanks. Sounds like it is worth a try. I still haven't got my refund after 3 weeks.

  • Cheap but if it's like the Cinder, it's a big looking helmet. Sent my Cinder back as it just looks huge.

    • Yeah it does sit "proud" but having crashed on an Giro Aeon helmet recently, hopefully the greater depth helps

  • Good price if you don't mind the mushroom look.
