Budget Hotel near Shinsaibashi, Osaka

I am travelling to Osaka in Jan 2018 around the Australia day week.

Would appreciate some recommendations for any budget and clean hotels near Shinsaibashi area?

Tripadvisor is great for this kind of research - you can search for a certain area and price range and sort by the highest rated - made up of many more reviews then you will find here

I used AirBNB in Osaka, worked really well… great availability and the prices were excellent.

I'd recommend Airbnb. Very cheap.

Have a look on Booking.com using the current active deal for a cash rebate.

Also check out Hostelworld if you don't mind spending time in a private room in a hostel. Cheap and normally managed very neatly.

I stayed at the Hotel Code, Shinsaibashi in June this year. 3 minute walk to the Dotonbori and it's right in the middle of all the action.

Clean, brand new. I'd suggest get a slightly bigger room than the base standard rooms (they are tiny). I paid $140 AUD per night which also included a breakfast (pastry and coffee)
