Ok so im in the market for a new phone as my s5 didnt fair too well with the sudden stop from a imovable floor tile.
Not worth the repair which will cost me 260 or half that if I do it myself (parts on order) which will be the first screen ill repair and see how I go.
Anyway I was wanting a nive 5 inch min 720 screen handset with better specs then the s5 but must have nfc and rf is a plus.
Was looking at the nokia 3 and hard comparing to my note 2 but was settling on the nokia 5…. it had good battery life and specs all checked out well for me as im not a massive gammer on my device but I use for for a lot of things.
Well I was looking jb hifi, saw the deal for the XA but couldnt find any and settled for a budget of 700 whoch after a while of stuffing around found a nokia 5 and huawei mate 9 in thw firing line.
Sweet I say but at the local jb the sales staff prompts me on a sale for the pixle….. I told him id prefer a note because im use to using my note 2 and so a curved ball was thrown and he has some note 5s I can get for 500 brand new.
I told him ill have to look over the pixle and have a think about the note 5 and come back thenext day……..
Fast forward a few hours and I dropped my daughter off at dancing and went to the local TTGs to see what was on the market…… after listening to a staffer tell me how to use a notes s pen and while he was dictating to me im using it wrong I pulled my note 2 out and asked him to verify if im doing wright….. we had a good ol laugh at his expense then all of a sudden my wife shoots over tells the staffer she is board and he will take the note 8 with the free armor case and thats it.
So im walking back to the car now an owner of an note 8 which is twice the budget and the look on my wifes face tells me that she is going to shop and sho big pretty soon.
Has anyone had a similar wtf moment either online shopping or in a B n M store?
