Bridgestone Buy 3 Tyres and Get The 4th FREE (Ecopia, Potenza, Turanza Serenity Plus or Supercat)

1060

Hello fellow OzBargainers,

Bridgestone is back again with Buy 3 tyres and get the 4th FREE

Available on Bridgestone Ecopia, Potenza, Turanza Serenity Plus or Supercat tyres.

If people could get quotes from various places with various sizes i'll keep an updated list below

On a side note, i however choose to go to Bridgestone Tyre Centre's even though they may be $20 more for a whole set for a few reasons:
- They torque my wheels up with a torque wrench instead of going to town with a impact gun
- They wrap their sockets in tape to prevent dings and paint chiping on wheels

and as user wongsun has stated:

They will warrant their tyres if you get a puncture, even it is in the side wall. The warranty is a pro rated replacement based on the wear of the existing tyre. For example if you get a side wall puncture and you have only used 20% of your tread on the tyre, they will replace the tyre at 20% of the original tyre cost. No other tyre retailers will do this to the best of my knowledge and this could save you a lot of money down the line. I have found the Bridgestone Tyre Centre pricing to be fairly competitive as well. Bridgestone & Firestone covered not supercats

  • Hi all,
Just wanted to add to the prices. Today I had fitted 4 x Bridgestone Ecopia EP850 TL 225/60R17 99V from Costco in the ACT for $614.94 (includes the Bridgestone buy 4, pay for 3 deal). Supplied, fitted, balanced, nitrogen filled (does this make a difference?) and old tyres disposed of. The only disappointing part was that they don’t conduct wheel alignments there and based upon the scrubbing of my old tyres Costco strongly recommended I get one done.

I rang around and cheapest alternative I found was Kmart and they quoted $220 per tyre after price beating Jax Tyres $225 quote. Bridgestone quoted me $225 Kmart unfortunately wouldn’t price beat Costco.

If you go with Costco you’ll need a Costco membership.

  • here's more information

Ecopia ep100 range is made in japan, but will be discontinued and be replaced by EP300 range which is made in china.

Bob Jane said EP100 range is far more better so they sell at a premium price between 135 and 145 for 21560R16 tyre.

In contrast, some Bridgestone just throw away their EP100 range tyres at a very competitive price of $120 each as it will be replaced by ep300, so four tyres, only cost $360.

You do need a wheel alignment when replacing 4 tyres, the charges are between 50 and 65.

    • be replaced by EP300 range which is made in china.

Just bought 4 ep300's. Sidewall says they were made in Thailand, August 21, 2017

      • Did they give you a maintenance book? for first rotation free?

        • Yes. He stapled it to the receipt

        • @outlander:

I should go back for the book. Is the first rotation service says free on the book?

        • @jjj123:

Yeah, there's a voucher for a free wheel rotation and alignment at 3 months

  • Does anyone receive a tyre maintenance book from bridgestone after tyre change?

I forgot to ask and till today i just realized.

My last BOb jane gave me one with first rotation free of charge.

  • Does anybody here have choice access? They have a review on the Ep300 that I'd like to see

    • +1

Ecopia EP300, shy of recommended group of now about three dozen tyres - middling wet-cornering with rating of 60%. Otherwise good, in size tested.
Rolling-resistance of EP300 nothing special, with improvement in fuel economy the main premise for all the 'Ecopia' branding and marketing.

Many above it with better overall scores. Even allowing for difference in sizes tested, plenty likely cheaper by margin to nullify 4 for 3 offer for the specific tyres you may done does requires, Forrest.

Latest update brings total tyres tested to 131. Library, or worth paying 24 bucks for a quarterly sub to see in full. You need to be circumspect about Choice' testing and results, but that's just the way things are/have become over the years.

      • +1

Thanks man you're the best. I did pay for choice once, but after how hard it was to cancel, never again.

I managed to find some 205/65r15's for $350 fitted, balanced and aligned, so I don't know how much cheaper tyres can get. Only real question was whether to go for the Japan-made older EP100's, or the newer China made EP300's.

        • Cancel that, looks like the ep300s are made in thailand

        • @Dne:

Hmmm, doesn't look good in the wet does it..

          How does the EP100 compare?

        • +1

          @outlander:

Not tested. EP150's were and almost identical to the 850's, below. One, 5% difference.

For the price you paid, you have a decent set of tyres that will likely wear pretty well.

You should be driving cautiously in the wet, anyway, Tiger.
          :)

I have made my six-monthly or thereabouts written contribution to OzBargain, today.

          Stay out of trouble.

P.S. I think that I preferred your previous avatar. It was different. "Good different" as in Aldi melted cheese and tomato sauce on toast different, but different.

Ok, I take that all back.

          Run, Forrest, Run!

          @Dne:

Argh! Hannibal! Wearer of others' skins! Just how many 3 letter accounts do you frollock behind you tasman-ian insane-ian?

You should be driving cautiously in the wet, anyway, Tiger.

They've been fitted on a car thats primary driven by an old lady, who drives like an even older lady. But I'll try and keep it in mind.

I liked the other avatar too, reminded me of melty cheese, but I'm afraid in this game posters with easily recognizable nonthreatening characters generate more positive responses. I was going to go with a happy half dressed banana, but I couldn't find any good images, and I lack the skill to make it myself, so gump it is. I should probably create a different account with a more appealing name and post my deals under that, but really I don't care that much to go to all that effort.

          yet

I hope you're doing well, and I hope you've found more success in focusing on the things you find important, rather than say, this Mariana trench of time. See you again in 2018, I guess

Also Good are some comments on your profile page, outlander, indicating that you are in a pretty good frame of mind, generally.
          I'm pleased to see that.

          Briefly on-topic.

If you are in a position to assist in maintaining correct tyre pressure for her, that would be more important for her safety than anything else.

          …yet

It's good to see that you're keen.

I certainly haven't forsaken bargains or disavowed the use of eneloops, or anything serious like that.
OzBargain's heritage in sitting just barely on the lee side of being the airtasker for bikies, also continues to be instructive.
Granted, the kid down at the shops that shortchanged me probably didn't deserve to be taken to with a baseball bat, and the bloke two doors up who used a leafblower early one Sunday morning maybe didn't deserve to die, but it's done now!

          :-)

After passing by a few dozen threads that you are/were inclined toward (and, yes, that did include a couple of yours), it does get a bit easier just to let the rest of them go.
Am I, bikie-cruel enough to link the Frozen song, here?

          No.

BTW, I'm subscribed to this thread and read your comment in an email notification. Funny and deserved an upvote. One upvote just attempted by me. Never mind.

You are not, however, to dream about pressure-washing the Powerusers!

Naughty. Take it easy, outlander. Stay out of most trouble…

          :-)

      • treadwear rating for ep100 is 400 for both 205R16 and 175R14, so its a lot.

  • I need to replace 175/65R15 tyres and am trying to decide between Bridgestone Turanza ER370 TL and Toyo NanoEnergy 3 for a Honda Jazz. Any idea which one of these would be considered a better buy?

    • ^Other Turanza tyres - ER300; T001, tested. All very good.
NanoEnergy 3 tested - including exact Jazzersize you're after. Very ordinary, don't buy.

  • Orderes ecopia 850 225/65/17. $703+$55 wheel alignment - $100 Amex.

      • Argh shouldve told me earlier

        • Have the tyres arrived?
Has it dawned that you could at least ask to step-up to more expensive tyres and pay the difference, if you want to?
It will depend on where ordered from, but good chance of receiving an ok for leaving the EP850's on the rack. The tyres ordered are of common enough size and near to common enough profile.

Either way, live, learn, look on bright side
          :)

A cheap option for possible future
          reference.

        • @Dne:

      :-)

      Goodnight Tiger

Just put on 4 X Serenity Plus. Very quiet but maybe because they are new.

The price is very good after calling a number of bridgestone stores in Sydney.

Each tyre costs me $129 fitted at Bridgestone Parramatta. with this promo pay 3 and 4th free.

        Wheel alignment costs $66.

        Ask for Justin.
