Hi. I toured with junior ozzie rep side to india in 2005 and swapped Jersey with rohit sharma that was signed on same day by tendulkar who was assisting u19s. Sharmas name is printed on back and sachins signature on front below India u19. Colleague (indian) has offered me $1500. First time I've had an offer though I have never sought one. Any thoughts on value?

I would rather keep something like that, sounds more valuable at a personal level. Id be getting it framed and hanging it in the pool room to show and tell future generations.
Except at some point he is no longer relevant and just a fragment of the past.
Take the $1500 and throw it in ratesetter or some ETF's which will remain relevant.Tendulkar is to India what Bradman is to cricket nuts here. Have a look at old Bradman memorabilia and how much some of it is worth. The guy last played 70 years ago.
I would take the money for sure - easy sale, no work for you. If you really want to know the true value a sports memorabilia store is the best place to ask. For $1500 I would sell.
I deal in a heap of sporting memorabilia and that offer of $1,500 is a crazy offer, take it! It's no where near that in value terms, at the very best it is worth $500-650 max.
I would keep it, however, that offer is insanely high and would really consider it. End of the day there is no authenticity of Sachin's autograph accompanying the jersey. The jersey itself should have all the right logo's etc… to certify it as a authentic player issues jersey. Did you get it signed by Rohit too?

Yes. I will take it. I also have personal photos of rohit wearing jersey and sachin in frame. Btw, rohit was 18 and prodigious and sachin was taking an interest in his development. Rohit still has time to break odi records.
