Nitecore TIP CRI LED NICHIA NVSL219B 3500K US$16.11 (AU $20.81) @ GearBest

30

Had my eye out for one of these, now on a flash sale, 500 items.

The black one is here here
The grey is also discounted here.

Notice, this is the NICHIA NVSL219B 3500K model opposed to the CREE XP-G2 S3 6500K.

From GearBest:

The NITECORE TIP comes in a thumb size, just as little as an AA battery. Utilizing a CREE XP-G2 S3 LED outputting 360Lm and reaching at 74m, the TIP is definitely small but power. An independent Turbo mode and three adjustable modes cater for many purposes. Onboard USB charging port design allows you to charge the light whenever you need and eliminates the need to replace batteries. Outer casing is constructed from lightweight and high strength aluminum alloy, seven colors for your choice. To meet different illumination requirements, we offer TIP ( CREE XP-G2 S3 360LM 6500K ) and TIP CRI ( Nichia NVSL219B 220LM 3500K ), the TIP CRI is equipped with a LED ( CRI over 90 ).

  • to convert prices easily, just google the $16.11 amount. Omit the USD sign, just use dollar sign only

    so in your case: https://i.imgur.com/4XlhgY6.png

    • Wouldn't GearBest or PayPal have their own conversion rate? That's why I didn't add it.

Got the cree version of these.
They are nice, and a decent amount brighter than the TUBE.
That said i still feel a little disappointed and i'm not sure why :S
I think it's because the TUBE really is good enough and is just that little bit more discreet on the keyring.
My personal feelings i guess are that a TUBE is better value and then a proper flashlight to compliment it might be better than the TIP
Probably the most useless review ever? - Upvote if you agree :P

  • Is the Nichia better than the Cree?

Cree is brighter, but Nichia provides more natural colours.

Neither is "better" - just depends which suits your particular needs.

  • p.s. I thinkt he coupon "TIPGIFT" will give both version to you for less than $20

  • I have ordered the CRI version from gearbest but they have sent me a CREE version in the box that was label as CRI. They are still investigating this. What a pain! You should ask them when you purchase that you are getting the CRI and not the CREE version.

Had nothing but issues with Gearbest. Placed a total of 4 orders. When they eventually arrived, 2 of the orders were missing items (they had not been sent as the delivery list also did not have these items listed). On further enquiry I was offered a refund. Then when I accepted I was told that the items were now in stock?? Mind you, this is 6+ weeks after my initial purchase. After multiple emails, I have decided that even if they have the odd bargain, I am going to steer well clear of these guys.

    • I keep making the mistake of getting sucked into seemingly good deals at Gearbest, ordering, and then spending the next 4-6 weeks wondering why I bothered. When they eventually show up there is almost always something missing or wrong with the item and I can't ever get anywhere with their support. I'm still waiting for a Tip CRI that I ordered on the 28th of September. Paid extra for express and tracked. No update since the 6th when they dispatched it. That is the last time I will order from them
