  • $10 delivery, but on check out, it say "online only".
    No stock in Parra :-(

  • thanks Op, got one to be picked up but haven't recieved tracking from cash rewards.

    • Tracking email took over 5 hours for me.

  • Use this product over one year. But wonder why the quick cook take so long, over 50min, while my old cooker took only 20min to finish. I should order other brand.

    • 50 minutes?!?!

      • yeah, not much different than normal cook. So I would like to see the experience from someone else how much time spent for quick cook.

    • I use a Panasonic one and it does quick cook in 20min. So long as you soak the rice beforehand for a couple hours, rice comes out same whether using quick cook or regular cook(~45mins)

    • Yep, the old cookers were way faster. You will find any high tech cooker with "fuzzy logic" tends to take a lot longer too. Seems to be the more basic the cooker, the faster it is, but the easier it is to stuff up if you add too much or little water. You may find some of the multi pressure cookers from Philips and Tefal can cook the rice a little faster and its a little fluffier due to the pressure cooking. Sometimes you can pick these up on sale for under the 100 mark too. The super expensive Jap rice cookers use pressure cooking and induction.

      • Ya, thank for the advice. better buy other branch

  • bought one from Myer sale last week. It looks nice than my (very) old morphy richard cooker. Haven't really timed the quick cook just yet. Will try this weekend.

  • I ordered from DJ last time (5th October) and they called to advise that it was out of stock. They wished to refund me the same day and wanted my card details over the phone). I declined. She told me that they have to process C&C orders the same day and that I couldn't just wait for further stock.

As it stands I have not received a refund (they won't refund via PayPal) so I have been waiting for it to come back into stock so that I can just walk in and collect (even though they said that I couldn't). No further stock has come into the store (I have been checking regularly for a month now).

I previously ordered it twice from Myer who also refunded twice.

    • Wow, that is very poor form, especially from a large Australian retailer. You would think they could just transfer one to your store. Ordered something once from BCF, they called apologetic saying that they had run of stock and if I would mind waiting a few days while they got the product from another store. A couple of days later it was available. Strange some stores are great and others are so poor.

      • Store to store transfers aren't allowed unfortunately.

        • +1

No problem. Personally I've only had amazing service from DJ, both online and instore. Very pleased they opened a store close to me in the last couple of years. I think people see them as crazily expensive when sometimes they are very competitive, even more so than stores like JB.

  • Just ordered a new rice cooker from JD that had induction features and stuff on it for a bit more than this managed to snag free shipping as well so pretty good.

*Recommend the Ozbargain community to check out JD.com that have great deals for Singles Day (11.11). Note free shipping to Australia is only temporary on these two dates 11/11 & 11/12 keep note of the timezone difference.

    • May I know which brand or model did you order? there are many brands and models…different price range….I'm not sure which 1 is good….

      • I got Midea WFZ4099 IH electromagnetic one cause it was reduced from ¥549 to ¥369 not sure if its still available though they did only allocate 5000 units at that price. If not I did see the same one for ¥399, keep in mind though free shipping isnt until the 11th
