Pretty sure you need a US address tied to your Amazon account but can use an Australian credit card.

  • Cheers. Used an Oregon address and Aus visa no worries.
Already paid up to 2019 but no harm in chucking another year on at this price.

  • Thanks, mine was due to expire in 6 days

  • Sorry for nob question
With this, I can play games on PSN.. eg Gran Turismo Play?

Also can I use the code on my Aus account?

    • +1

Nope. Us psn for us ps account

      • Damn it.

        • You can have both Aus and us account on your PS4. If you buy this, you can activate on your us account and then use your aus account for multiplayer.

I just bought this, but i'm having issues redeeming the code on my account.

The Prepaid Card code you entered is incorrect or is no longer valid

edit: right i need a USA PSN account.

get canada psn, its always cheaper and has the same discounts and games, also discounts that you can actually appreciate.

or get indo psn, 1 year for AUD$35

    • Hmmmm, that's interesting. Isn't the pricing in CAD usually steeper though?

      • +1

what i have found since last year is that the prices are really great when combined with ps plus.

horizon zero dawn going for CAD $33.59 with PS Plus(CAD $46.79) while on US PSN, its going for USD $27.99 with PS Plus(USD $38.99)

        giftcards for USA

        USD $10 for AUD $13.03

        USD $20 for AUD $26.06

        total of AUD $39.09

credit of $30 and left with $2.01

        giftcards for Canada

        2 CAD $20 at AUD $20.25 each

        total of AUD $40.50

credit of $40 and left with $6.49

Paying $40 in both cases but you get more credit leftover in Canada and you can spend it towards another game or theme/addon etc.

$1 CAD is AUD $1 most of the time

Look at Indonesian PSN for PS Plus deal.

Whoa. Thanks for sharing the details on your research! Looks like I'm going to set-up another account. :)

Thanks OP, alot easier to purchase from than gamestop and I've always bought all my US credit from here at no additional cost.

If lucky I might get some PCGAMESUPPLY $7 vouchers when on sale.

  • Good price. Still thinking damn, I should have bought more back in the Black Friday sale in 2013,they were $29.99 on Amazon.

  • Grabbed another 2 years worth (AU$105) thanks OP!

  • Are there any practical issues with having a US PSN account Vs local? Does it limit us in anyway, being in Australia?

    • No practical issues. The US have better and more frequent sales compared to other regions.

    • I have the SEA (South East Asia) PSN account with PS+, while my AUS PSN account's PS+ is about to run out (14 day trial). I downloaded the free games from the AUS PSN account first. When the AUS PSN account's PS+ expired, I thought I can just continue to play the games (since I have the SEA PS+ active and those games). However, not only I had to re-download those games again (the SEA versions appear to be different), the save games also have issues. MGS5 save games were converted, but infamous second son save games wouldn't convert.

It was an unusual case though, since it is unlikely you have two PS+ active in two different regions.

SEA one is a bit cheaper, but you need to create an account in the region:
    https://www.offgamers.com/buynow/playstation-plus-12-months-…

There is 10% GST on top. Problem with SEA one is that the PS Plus free game sometimes come with multiple versions. For example, I have 3 MGS5 (Japanese, English, and I think Mandarin). I wish I only added the English one to my account. It was a bit annoying to figure out which one to download. Also, free games can / might be different.

    • you can avoid the GST by US VPN.

  • Thanks, great top-up price

  • What's an address I can use for Amazon?

The freight forwarder I use charges sales tax.
