Buying an Ex-Rental Car [Sydney]

I am planning to buy a used car.

I heard from my friends that there is a place where car rentals like Avis or Thrifty sell their cars in a give away price. Can anyone help me find that place or provide more correct information.

    give away price, no

    auction, yes

    • Correctly said Auction, do you know that place ?

  • Big risk getting an ex rental car. When i get a rental car for work i treat it like crap. I never slow down for speed humps etc

  • Me too chumlee 😁😁but they keep the car in good condition else no body will take their car and usually they change their cars every 2 year.

  • Is it restricted for dealers only ?

    Terrible idea…

Exrental is nearly as bad as an Ex Taxi

    Run away…

Any repairs are easy to spot whenever i have hired a car !

    • Ex Taxi''s are much worse, although people aren't wrong "fleet cars" must always be purchased with caution.

Lol don't go in blind. Dealers still have to fix those cars up to get them to a certain standard.

And ffs do a PPSR, and don't buy a write-off.

  • I remember about 15 years ago that my rental Hyundai getz was the best four wheel drive car I have ever used

    • Would love to do some jumps in that thing

  • There used to be a hertz used lot on parramatta rd and at Penrith, but I think they closed it, I think they get auctioned off now
    Try pickles or Manheim

  • The fastest car is always the rental car
