How to Find Old Certification II in IT/Retail?

Happy Sunday guys
Back when I was in high school one of our year 10 subjects was to complete a cert II in IT.
I was wondering if anyone knew how to get a copy of this certification?
I've emailed the school about a week ago with no answer and haven't manage to call just yet.

Similarly, I completed a cert II in retail through Maccas.I assume I need to go through them.
Is there somewhere that these certifications are sent so I can get a copy?

Cheers

TBH, you've already spent more effort than a Cert 2 is worth.

Haha I can teach ict if i'show competency'
Figure it may help one day

    • Cheers I've emailed them :)

      • That page tells you who to contact. Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) looks to be correct.

        • I totally missed the senior vet certificates section. Thanks for bringing that to my attention

If the qualification is over 10 years old, it's not really considered as relevant due to its age.
So not probably worth to chase up.
    Cheers

    • It's 6 and 8 years old I believe.
      Can't hurt sending an email.
Didn't know that though so thanks

      • Np. Do you mind me asking you what do you need this for?

        • Getting my teaching portfolio put together
Will slip these in the back with other professional experience I've done.

        • Also to teach a junior high subject you need to demonstrate 'competency'
          Could work for ict

        • @science-teacher: negs, it's true.

        • @science-teacher:

No negs from me lol … too many neg-happy clickers here …
Hmm .. Cert II is really entry level qualification and tbh not really going to add any weight to your portfolio.
Furthermore, you need at least Cert IV TAE to formally deliver any vocational qualifications which is really easy to achieve.
I assume that you are a Science Teacher (obviously going by your namertag) @ High School and are under a State Institutional Teaching registration?
If so .. respect .. you must be getting smashed with admin like me :-)
          Cheers

        • @vinni9284: in Queensland you need to display competency in any area to teach it up to year 10 (not talking about senior). While I am more than competent in ict it would be something to have on hand, alongside the certificates for getting talked at for 2 hours (PDs) etc.
Though it won't have a lot of weight behind I know. Just want it in case it's ever mentioned I have it on hand
Ict/bct etc. as a subject doesn't give a vocational qualification, at least where I am teaching so it doesn't matter much.

In my final placement now actually.

          @science-teacher:

Great. Wishing you all the best.
Teaching is a great career however reporting & admin is becoming a massive burden on the profession.
You'll understand what i mean when you jump into it.
          Good luck.
          Cheers

        • @vinni9284: yes I've heard as much
          Can't wait :/

          Cheers

about as valuable as your primary school report card

    • Unfortunately … I tend to agree with you :-)

  • You need to find out which RTO, (Registered Training Organisation) issued your Certificate II.
By law they have to keep records for 30 years, so as long as they are still operating they should be able to provide it.
If they are no longer operating then contact ASQA [[email protected]] as they should have the records.
I should add that ASQA are not good at keeping or retrieving those records.
McDonalds is an RTO itself, so they will have the records you need.
As far as I am aware they only offer the Cert. III in retail.
