Designed and developed in Australia , manufactured in China

    why???

    • +3

Should change the name to chinesebum.

It is my understanding that the underwear and swimwear is manufactured in Australia, though I'm not very confident of this. Where did you note the above information?

      • +1

as the rep has said most is made in Australia, but now you have to be careful like this product where it says made in china

        • I personally don't care about that but good to know if you do care.

    • +3

Hey Savas just that range you're looking at.
95% of product sold made in Sydney, Australia.

      • +1

why would you make 5% overseas? this is crazy, now I can't buy in confidence that I am supporting Australian made. not sure how it can be worthwhile, the Chinese made underwear look similar and are only a few dollars cheaper.

        • +2

Hey Savas, unfortunately the technology doesn't exist to manufacture the 'seamless' style product in Australia. Every other underwear range is made here.

        • +1

@JonnyM: I don't understand, I bought a pair of seamless style in 2015 for $6 which were made in australia

        • +1

@Savas: it says so on the tag?

        • +1

@Jazza2400: Yes, I'd send a pic but I'm wearing them.

        • +1

@Savas: I remember that photoshoot. It was a cold day, hence the significant shrinkage of my nameitnot.

        • +1

@JonnyM: So why does your AussieBum eBay store clearly state this seamless underwear is AUSTRALIAN MADE? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/aussieBum-Mens-Underwear-Seamless…

        • +1

@JonnyM: Here is another seamless underwear product which your eBay store proclaims is AUSTRALIAN MADE. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/aussieBum-Mens-Underwear-Seamless…

        • +1

          @JonnyM:
Why not build such technology here if it already exists and then you can manufacture for third parties?

I have extensively reviewed this deal end-to-end and can confirm that based on this review process that there is nothing significant here.

The Classic Originals are good. Can recommend their swimwear overall as well.

Own so many aussiebum's, jumped on mossmann a little while ago and want to replace all my undies with them. Crazy comforable, just need to wait for them to so sub $10 for a good deal

Enlargeit briefs were the best (despite the name)
    Sad they are no more..
I have to admit the last lot I got all began to separate from the elastic so they must have changed the manufacturing or materials over time..

    • +2

I've definitely noticed the quality go down also. No more AussieBum for me.

wow that's so weird, you can even see the "made in australia" tag on them so no idea what is happening

      • +3

Hey guys, the Ebay site you're linking to is selling fakes hence the price discrepancy. aussieBum don't even make some of those products.

        • +1

          thanks for investigating

Neg revoked … for which I was awarded a 'Revoker' badge I never knew existed. Next time, remember example bargains with direct links assist shopping.

        • +1

@PJC: You always have such an interesting back story to everything

        • +1

@Savas: Gosh, I love a bit of praise. I am surprised to learn I have revoked as many as 5 votes, but this is only the 2nd time I revoked a neg - the first was after realising I was in error.

  • Negging because cheaper elsewhere.
